I don't normally do these types of posts but I just had to share this with all of you.
As you know I am in New York visiting my sons. The older one recently moved into his own apartment with his girlfriend and I wanted to give them a housewarming gift. They had bought a new couch with some generic looking pillows - no personality whatsoever. I wanted to get them handmade pillow cases with personality.
Today I am getting together with some blogger friends in order to bring you a whole lot of Valentine's Day Inspiration and a link party. My contribution is a Valentine's Day Wooden Gift Box.
For all you bloggers out there add your Valentine's Day crafts. The party will be open till February 13th. And for the rest of you folks I know you will find lots of fun ideas here so you can create your own personal Valentines Day Craft. And we have plenty of time to get ready!
Happy December everyone!
This month is all about the Holidays, decorating our home, the trees and wrapping the presents. All of these fun activities can take a toll on a person. Especially me! Today I'm going to show you how I do my gift wrapping with vintage fabric.
I love to see the presents all wrapped up and placed under the tree in time for Christmas. I remember as a little kid anxiously waiting to open those presents. And when my kids were young I'd sent them off to bed and stay up half the night wrapping boxes and adding embellishments. It had become a therapeutic ritual for me after all of the rushing around and shopping.
Disclosure: I was compensated for doing this post with product. However, all the opinions stated here are my own. I only use products I love and would recommend to my viewers.
It's my favorite time of the month again, the Int'l Bloggers Club Challenge. Each month five friends get together and share different topics from their corner of the world. In the past we have talked about Halloween, Fall and Summer. But this month we are doing something totally different. We are doing a "Thankful for Friends Gift Swap." For the swap I have chosen to repurpose an antique cauldron for Christmas.
It's September and that means it's my turn to contribute a gift to the Handmade Christmas Gift blog hop. For those of you who are new here, I have gotten together with some blogger friends and we are making one gift per month (or at least we are trying). In this way, we will have 12 handmade gifts by the time December rolls around. In previous months I have made a pillow and a wooden heart.
As I mentioned, this month I get to make a gift and my blogger friends, and of course you all, are invited to copy it or make a variation.
What am I making? Well, because I've been working so hard all year I am going to make a gift for myself. After all a happy blogger is a productive blogger! I'm making a jewelry organizer for earrings.
I'm Mary and I live in beautiful Greece where I like to repurpose and upcycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece.
