A few days ago I was looking over my Most Popular Posts for 2018 and realized that I use old clothes quite a lot.
I am not a fan of throwing things away, in fact that's what this blog is built on. Clothes in particular, hold a special place in my heart because they have such pretty colors, patterns and interest in general. It got me to thinking that I should share all that with you. I went over my projects and came up with 15 ways to re-purpose old clothes into something new.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful time during the holidays. I really enjoyed myself and relaxed a bit. I'm now ready to share with you my most popular DIY posts for 2018. Let me know which were your favorites.
It is the tenth of the month and that means it's time for me to join my friends on Ten on the Tenth for another project. This time we have gotten together to share fashion and beauty ideas that cost less then ten dollars. Last month we shared container gardening ideas.
Now I'm no Fashion Diva, in fact the opposite is true. But I do know that being organized is important for all the Divas out there who need to find their jewelry pronto! Because you're not gonna get me to give you fashion advice!
But I will say this, I think it would make a fine Mother's Day gift! It is so easy to make this frame jewelry organizer.
Do you ever mean to do a project but for some reason or other it just seems to end up in the back of the drawer? Well I had that problem with a small wood box. I think it is called a treasure box. That poor box got worked on in stages over a period of over three years. Now that I wrote that, it just sounds pathetic. But I finally finished it and am ready to share.
But not here. I am going for a visit to my good friend Deborah of Salvage Sister and Mister. Her blog is also all about ... you guessed it, repurposing and upcycling. She is part of a team and works with her husband Tom to come up with some incredible DIY projects. So join me over on her blog as we examine the little red box that finally got done.
It's September and that means it's my turn to contribute a gift to the Handmade Christmas Gift blog hop. For those of you who are new here, I have gotten together with some blogger friends and we are making one gift per month (or at least we are trying). In this way, we will have 12 handmade gifts by the time December rolls around. In previous months I have made a pillow and a wooden heart.
As I mentioned, this month I get to make a gift and my blogger friends, and of course you all, are invited to copy it or make a variation.
What am I making? Well, because I've been working so hard all year I am going to make a gift for myself. After all a happy blogger is a productive blogger! I'm making a jewelry organizer for earrings.
I'm Mary and I recently moved to New York from beautiful Greece. I like to re-purpose and up-cycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece and New York.
