Facebook Photos for January

Sharing is caring!

We are officially into February and so it is time for me to share with you my “Photo of the Day” Facebook Photos for January.

In case you are new to my blog, I post daily “Photos of the Day” on my Facebook page which is here,

as a token of my appreciation for your visits.  But there are some of you who do not go to Facebook,  and so I have this series where I post all of your favorites for the month.

January was quite an exciting month for me.  I started the month with a New Year’s cake, a few photos from Greece and before you know it I was living it up in New York. But these were not your typical New York tourist photos.  After all I am not a tourist but a real New Yorker who stays away from Manhattan as much as possible. Instead I shared moments of my life in New York with the family cat and some special crafts.

We had lots of snow in New York and in my town in Greece which is quite rare.

The image you see here was sent to me by my friend Michelle of A Crafty Mix.   She painted my Paranoid Pumpkin Man on a backdrop of one of my photos, (actually it was a friend of mine who took it)  And as you can see from the match, it is a miniature painting.  Michelle is extremely talented. When you have a moment go check out her blog.

Before leaving Greece I also had an opportunity to take a quick video of our surrounding area.
And the bonus shot of the month, a peek at the Empire State Building towering above everything else in Midtown Manhattan.

Keri thank you so much. That building is so tall it is hard to get a good photo of it when you are really close.

How fun to see photos of your trip! I'm glad you're back, but I'm sure you're already missing those kiddos!

I do miss them, even the cat! But I had other kids over here waiting for me.

Beautiful photos of real living Mary. That one you took of the Empire State Building bathed in gold is so stunning. Amazing shot and I love you video too. It's just so cool to hear your voice and see what you see in 3D. Lovely!!!! P.S. There are so many of your photos that I would love to paint in miniature. The Miniature Society of South Africa has an exhibition coming up in November and if I may have your permission to use some of them it would make my day.

Thank you Michelle, you always have the nicest comments. You can paint whatever you want I am always honored that you ask. I'd love to see a post of the exhibit sometime in the future.

As always, beautiful photos and most enjoyable recap. Great to hear your voice too! I hope your trip to New York to visit family was everything you hoped it would be and more.

Marie it was so strange for me to be in NY and here in Greece they had the snowstorm of the century. Very strange. The trip was great, I got to spend lots of quality time with the family which is what matters to me at this point. Because I've played tourist in the past so the only thing that I really want to see is the memorial down at the World Trade Center. Last time I was in NY they were still building the tower.
