Hamper legs going the distance – Καλάθι άπλυτων ανανεωμένο

Sharing is caring!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Today I am going to show you a little post on how I managed to transform an old ikea hamper (JÄLL Laundry bag with stand) that had ripped and was unusable.  Here is a picture of the product.

As you can see it was pretty basic, but it only lasted a few years.  I was ready to throw it out, but I figured the legs might have a few more laps to go.  So I decided to pair it with an old tray that I had. As you can see the tray has openings.  And here it is.  Now I keep it by my bed and  use it to store books.

I covered the tray with some fabric.  Then I used ribbons and strings to thread through the openings and attach the tray to the  legs of the hamper.

And that’s it, an easy up cycle, and I managed to salvage the hamper legs and the old tray.  What do you think?

Thanks Katrin, its a cute little tray. The fabric is ancient, from my days when I worked at a Textile company.

That turned out so much cuter than when it was plain white. It reminds me a little bit of a baby bed. :) So glad you shared this with us at Thoughts of Home on Thursday.

Thanks Laurie, it was either do something with it or throw it out! And I hate to throw anything out!
