I have been very busy indeed. For those of you that have followed along, you may recall my discussion about my health journey and how I overcame my diabetes. One of the biggest changes I made in my life was to get off my butt and go get a job (not that the blog was not a job). But I needed a job that would have me moving, burning calories and getting lots of exercise. Sitting in front of the computer for 10 hours a day writing the blog was doing me no amount of good. Yes, this is a DIY blog but in fact most of my time was spend editing, publishing and promoting on social media. It was having a very bad effect on me.
With all of this running around I put the blog on the back burner and there it stayed till it was time for it to die a slow death when I didn’t renew my host. I felt really sad that no one would get to see my epic hits and even more so, learn from my epic fails.
But then I got a message from an angel named Jane. Jane is a fellow DIY blogger over at Sustain My Craft Habit. She offered to buy the blog from me and keep it alive. Well, for me it was a no brainer. Do I let The Boondocks Blog go into the black hole or keep it afloat? Obviously, I chose the latter. All of that lovely and not so lovely content is available once again thanks to Jane. I may even drop by every once in a while, to share a disaster or two. 😉
As for me, I will continue to sashay up and down that Michaels runway, living my best life. You can find me on Instagram sharing snippets of life and Tatou pictures.
Thank you each and every one of you for all of the support you have given me these past four years. I never expected that starting a little blog would have given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and learn so many new skills. It has truly been a rich and rewarding experience for me!
And for all of my blogger friends, you can bet I will continue to stalk all of your wonderful blogs for inspiration. I may not always comment but I am there lurking in the background!
I hope that you will continue to support Jane and her sister Sonja through their blog Sustain My Craft Habit and now also through The Boondocks Blog on Instagram. They are taking over all of the social media that bears the name of this blog too.

It's a tough decision but it sounds like the right one for you, Mary. I am glad that you are enjoying working at Michael's. I think I'd get into too much trouble working there... It IS a craft store after all and I'd be shopping my paycheck away, lol! ;) Actually, years ago when I worked at a sewing shop, I was pretty good and only bought some fabric, not everything I found beautiful!
Looking forward to hearing how you are doing as time goes on and to see what Jane and Sonja will be doing with The Boondocks Blog. Happy you shared at Share Your Style #234 this past week.
Big hugs to you, my friend, Barb :)

That is a wonderful way to keep the blog alive! I too find it hard to set aside my blog work and MAKE myself move/ exercise more... but with three kids that seems to happen pretty naturally for me for now.

It s such a priority in my life now. Before all I would do is to sit in front of the computer screen which was terrible.
