We are winding down our holiday break and the kids go back to school tomorrow. To close up with the holiday festivities, I ‘d like to share these photos from my recent night out on the town. First is the ever present ship with lights, which is a Greek tradition.

And so Christmas is over and we close this chapter with some lovely red candlestick holders.

The night takes on a different look when it is dressed in its evening finery. It was indeed a bright night on the town for me.   Now it’s time to move forward into 2016!  Happy New Year my friends!

Millie, the boats are our Christmas trees, before we adopted the wester style trees. We are a nautical country and so that is how we celebrated.

I think the towns find different ways to dress up each season but the winter lights have an other worldly quality.

It is lovely. In fact it was rebuilt because there was a massive earthquake here 21 years ago and so most of the buildings are quite new. Next time your sister comes hop along with her.

Lynn I love to window shop, not shop so much. I find that since starting the blog I’d rather make things myself. So I’m more likely to visit a hardware store than a regular store, but it’s great for inspiration.

What a lovely night out! That church is gorgeous, I love the architecture, so pretty. I think I would have a blast in that store! There are so many things that are right up my alley. The chairs with the carved wooden backs-so cool, the wooden card boxes, all the burlap and that wooden antique car with the candlesticks! I’m in love! I could move right in to that store.
