That church was beautiful. I see why it is the center piece.. The last two posts have been a wonderful tour of your town. Fun.
Thanks Krista, I couldn’t do any DIY after all the olive picking so I decided to show you the beauty around me. Thanks for joining me.
Oh Mary, what is the name of the town and that store??? We are talking spring road trips and still need decorative items at our Stone House on the Hill, looks like I need to visit it! Happy New Year!!!
Jackie you’ll have to take the other road leading to Patra in order to go to this lovely store. Hope you’re having a great time in …well now I’m not even sure where you are, you’re such a busy lady!
I love getting a glimpse of your town in your blog posts! It’s so beautiful this time of year! And I can see why that shop is your favorite. It looks like a treasure trove of unique goodies!
Celeste, I try not to go in there, otherwise I’d be broke all the time.
lovely images! That boat is so beautiful!! So glad I found your blog, I love seeing what you share! 🙂
Millie, the boats are our Christmas trees, before we adopted the wester style trees. We are a nautical country and so that is how we celebrated.
I love when our town is all dressed up for the holidays, too! I will miss those lights!
I think the towns find different ways to dress up each season but the winter lights have an other worldly quality.
Mary, your town looks so wonderful!!! I love that door, and pretty ship!! The church very beautiful and grand!!! If I ever visit you in Greece, you’ll have to take me to that lovely shop, that looks like a lot of goodies all in one place!!! 🙂 Thanks for the tour of your town at night!!
If you visit we’ll stay away from that shop because it has non thrifty prices… anyway you can diy everything yourself. But I’ll take y ou everywhere else with pleasure.
Just gorgeous photography Mary! You are whetting my appetite to visit you.
Sue, maybe they should hire me in the ministry of tourism?? I probably do a better job then them…lol
What a beautiful town you live in, Mary! The church is gorgeous and your best shop looks like a place I’d love to shop in. My sister traveled to Greece twice because she loved it so much.
It is lovely. In fact it was rebuilt because there was a massive earthquake here 21 years ago and so most of the buildings are quite new. Next time your sister comes hop along with her.
Hello Mary and happy new year. Sounds like you had a fun time in town and boy is beautiful!! Take care.
Julie
Julie, I had a wonderful time, I like going out in the evening when all the lights are l it and the streets look so radiant. Thanks for dropping by.
Beautiful photos, Mary, they took me right there with you. Happy New Year and wishing you many happy bright nights 🙂
Thank you Jas, that means a lot coming from such a great photographer as yourself. May the new year bring you all that you desire.
I looks like you had a lovely evening. I certainly did some window shopping. That would be one of my favorite shops if I lived there.
I find that since starting this blog all I do is window shop. My motto has become “why shop when you can do it yourself?” I’m sure you’d agree with me Debra!
So much eye candy, loved seeing your photos. What a beautiful place you live in. One of my dreams has always been to travel to Greece. Happy New Year
Mary – this was such a sweet little tour of your town. What a great idea for a post.I love that charming shop, too, with all these little shabby treasures. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Thanks Ilka. I love to window shop and get ideas. It’s not that big of a town but it has it’s bright moments.
Many thanks again for taking us on some virtual fieldtrips to your lovely country. And thanks for the virtual shopping trips. Almost as enjoyable as the real thing but better on my wallet.
Lynn I love to window shop, not shop so much. I find that since starting the blog I’d rather make things myself. So I’m more likely to visit a hardware store than a regular store, but it’s great for inspiration.
This looks like a lovely night on the town. I love the lights and all of the shabby chic wood. I love the shabby chic design and it looks like you saw some beautiful things. 🙂
I did Gina, got loads of inspiration just from the windows of one store. Now I’ve got to get to work!!
Mary, what a beautiful tour. Your favorite shop looks FUN! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm!
Cecilia it’s all full of shabby goodness, what else can I ask for?
Churches are some of the most beautiful buildings in the world, and this one is no exception.
The shop looks fabulous Mary. I can see why it’s one of your favorite hang outs :).

Doreen, I’m thinking I’ll have to do a post on churches. We have so many of them all over. As for the shop, well I don’t even shop there, I just go for inspiration. xoxo
Happy New Year, Mary! Thanks for sharing your night on the town with us at Snickerdoodle Sunday. What a lovely evening! The church is especially beautiful.
Beverly my town is full of churches. Maybe I should do a post on those, hummm… we have one church per mile.
Mary,
I enjoy hearing about the traditions in your town. Such lovely pictures and how interesting that the boats were such a part of your Christmas heritage. Thanks for sharing with us at Snickerdoodle Sunday!
~Laurie
Laurie, we are a nautical country. The sea is in our blood, and we have miles and miles of water and coastline to attest to that. Thanks for your visit.
Mary your town is beautiful and I would love to visit that shop. Also, your photography is great!
Sherry thank you so much for that sweeet compliment. SInce starting the blog I have worked hard to improve my photography and be able to share all this magic with you all.
Sounds like you had a lovely time celebrating Christmas. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us at the Over the Moon Link Party.
I had a great time Sandy! I hope the same for you.
What a lovely night out! That church is gorgeous, I love the architecture, so pretty. I think I would have a blast in that store! There are so many things that are right up my alley. The chairs with the carved wooden backs-so cool, the wooden card boxes, all the burlap and that wooden antique car with the candlesticks! I’m in love! I could move right in to that store.
I alsos really love that store. I’m very fortunate to live here with all this beauty and consider myself lucky to have the best of two worlds. As for the store, if I told you I’ve never been inside you probably wouldn’t believe me.
Loving your local shop with all those treasures in it. I bet you could lose hours in there browsing through all their wares!

Sally I only like to window shop.. What kind of blogger would I be if I spent money on things I can make myself! But I love passing by and having a look.
