Sharing is caring!
With the holidays right around the corner I thought it would be a good time for me to share my wish list of gift ideas. Now I have never done this before, but I had lots of fun coming up with what I would like in the course of my day. And I think if you are like me then you will find something here too.
That’s why this is a Practical, as opposed to extravagant, Holiday Gift guide for the DIYer!

To get you started:
What would I be without my coffee to fuel me through all those hours in front of the computer? I saw this machine at my son’s house recently and enjoyed a cup of coffee. I like the idea of making individual cups instead of the multiple cups I make now with my old coffee maker and end up drinking too much. This is definitely on my list of must haves!

While I am working on my projects I like to have a bit of music in the background to relax me. This compilation is just what I need for inspiration. And we all know Mozart helps those brain cells.

Another great musical selection especially for Christmas is “The Nutcracker”. It is the quintessential holiday music in my house and if you ask my family they would tell you they know it inside out from so many years of listening to it.

And because we don’t always want to subject the rest of the household to our musical tastes I use these great earphones.

This Deluxe set would be a great gift to give to someone who is artistically inclined, or even someone who wants to try their hand at it. I would love to receive one in order to explore my artistic side. And it comes with everything you’ll need to get started.

This one is for all the crafters out there (me included). I left my old one back in Greece so I need a new glue gun. And the nice thing about this one is that it is smaller than the standard size. And you know you need it to glue this or that!

You all know of my love for photography. I currently use a point and shoot and it has helped me learn how to compose a photo and get my feet wet but this Canon would definitely be the next step in my journey into photography. It will give you and me such better photos!

Cleaning up after your projects:
This one may seem like a silly gift to give but I believe a clean home is a happy home. Because I’m a DIYer and crafter, my house is always a mess. I have paint out and scraps of paper flying around everywhere. So I need to get that house in order as soon as I am done with my projects. This baby will take care of the paint and the mess so I won’t need to be buying a new rug every few months.

And while we’re on the subject of cleaning, this is a great product to get rid of the pet smells in our home. I had a furry visitor a few weeks ago and believe me, anyone who walked into my house could definitely tell. Where was this product when I needed it?

After the cleanup:
After the mess is put away and the house smells nice again, it is time to relax. A nice bath is just what we need to do the trick! This makes the perfect gift for anyone in the family.

And because my skin tends to be on the dry side, after all we do work with all sorts of products, this moisturizer is just what we need to keep our skin feeling soft and silky.

After the clean up and the removal of odors, it is also nice to have your home smelling like a forest. That will really put you in the Holiday mood, especially if your tree is not real.

Here is something I can really use, a humidifier that is also an essential oil diffuser. Now I will be nice and toasty warm without getting dehydrated and the house can smell nice too. And it also changes colors. What else can we DIYers ask for.

A bit more inspiration:
A subscription to this popular magazine is just what I need, and you will too, if you care about DIY.

For all the Fixer Upper fans and just anyone who loves farmhouse, rustic! I have been assured that this one will be devoured from cover to cover! Plus Joanna looks pretty great on the cover!

This is my guilty pleasure. It is perfect for the bookworm and for the movie lover! It has become a family tradition and we watch it once a year in my house. I cannot recommend it enough!

For that special someone who has everything:
I think that this is one of the best gifts out there a gift card. And it comes in a snowflake tin! For the person that has everything or for the one that is difficult to shop for. That would be me!

And that has been my practical gift guide for the DIYer. As you may have guessed this is not your typical gift guide. I tend to be a bit more practical haha! I hope you find something special for your loved ones or even for yourself.

Great list, Mary! There are a lot of practical (and fun!) ideas here. I have to get started on my shopping. I'm usually done by now...way behind! Yikes!

I have barely begun Kim, but this year instead of braving the stores I am going the internet route. ;)

Love your list! First off, your photos are always amazing, even with a point and shoot. But I can't even imagine what they would be with a "big girl camera"! I hope to add one to my arsenal this year too, and that Rebel Package looks great. I'm a huge fan of a great bath, bath bombs are also on my list. I hope that Santa sees this and gets you everything, you deserve it!

It is a bit of an eclectic list, more for use than some things that may look pretty but are not as practical. A pampering for the DIYer of sorts.

Super list for the diy-er. I'm also a fan of the Nutcracker. I play it constantly at home and then we finish off the Christmas season by going to the ballet. #happinessishomemade

Ohh that really sounds like fun! I have never seen the Nutcracker live, I would love to.
