I followed you to Austrailia and learned about a very interesting tradition. The little horse is so adorable but I was fascinated by the paper mache people. At least I think that is what they are made from. I love getting to tour Greece this way as I don’t think I will ever get a chance to go. Thanks so much.
I’m so happy that you enjoy my little tours to my co untry. We have so many things that we do that are a little different from the norm. In this case the Carnival is Brazilian and Venetian but we put our own spin on it. Yes I believe they are paper mache.
I commented over at Sizzling Toward Sixty. Nice pictures.
Thank you Krista, its always a pleaure to have you visit. That little spider man was looking at my camera and he was so happy when I snapped him. It takes the simplest thing to make a child happy. Happy Easter to you too my friend.
How fun, will hop over to check this out!!!
Thank you dear friend! And be careful, it’s quite a hop over to Australia! 😉

Thank you Keri for popping on over to visit.
I love Carnival! Thanks for stopping by, hugs Biljana
Thank you Biljana. It is such a fun time of the year.
I love Carnival, it’s one of my favorite traditions!! So fun with and without kids! The big horses float was impressive, it reminded me of “las fallas” here in Spain.
I know you love the carnival. This year we left the kids home and went with my husband. Do you see Pili how much later we are celebrating it this year? We just finished with carnival and you are ready for Easter.
how exciting! I thought at first you were actually going to Australia 🙂
Hahaha!! I wish Millie, I would go in a heartbeat!

Dee it was lots of fun. They were going to have one in my town as well but it got rained out.
What a lovely carnival Mary. I love your pictures, so colourful. Bless your carnival Queen, she did look a little chilly. It was a fun trip over to Sue’s blog for your guest post.

Sally it was a cold and wet day but she put on a brave face.
Mary, this looks like a blast, I love how the entire family gets into the fun, even the political-ness of the day. Everyone is celebrating tradition together and it will help to carry on from this generation to the next. I love all the children, they are having such a great time. Greece is so family oriented and that’s the best!
It is family oriented Nikki. That is one of our strengths. And its because of that and the beautiful country that we’ve been able to keep it together under increasingly difficult situations. No matter how tough things get we always manage to find a reason to celebrate.
