Αυτό χρησίμευσε πολύ καλά να κρύψει μια ρωγμή που ήταν στο ρολόι. Το ρολόι λειτουργούσε, οπότε γιατί να το ξεφορτωθώ;
Αυτό ήταν τόσο εύκολο, πέντε λεπτά για ένα όμορφο ρολόι! Και τώρα είμαι έτοιμη για ένα ωραίο ποτήρι παγωμένο τσάι! Σας αρέσει η ανακαίνιση; Έχω δικαιωμα στο ποτήρι παγωμένο τσάι μετά από πέντε λεπτά σκληρή δουλειά;

Oh you definitely deserve that ice tea Mary, a whole bucket full. I can see why your family did a double take, it looks soooo different. It’s a much better fit with the frame.
The doily also hides the crack on the bottom, but we won’t tell. 😉
You did a great job on your clock…it is darling.
Thank you so much BJ. Anything is better than boring black.
You most certainly deserve some ice tea! You truly transformed the clock into something that works for your home now. Well done!
xxx
Right now I’m all about finding budget friendly solutions to all of my eyesores. Now the question is what will I do with that phone?? Have a great weekend Doreen.
That is quite the difference Mary, the doilies really worked wonders! A fun idea! And enjoy that iced tea!
I am definitely enjoying the iced tea Katrin, all of that hard work, all five minutes worth… wheeew!
It looks really good next to your painting.
Better than the black hole it was before. I’ll get there eventually. Thanks Krista.
How creative! Just curious. Did you place the plastic cover over the beaded hook?
The beaded hook is placed over the plastic cover and threaded through to hold the plastic cover in place. I just tied the plastic cording in the back. Thank you Melanie.
You deserve a whole pitcher Mary! The clock looks great, I like it a lot better now then before. You could do the same to the phone. You would have the only one like it. Lol
I could definitely use a pitcher right about now Linda. And yes you are right no one has a phone like mine if I doilied it up.
Mary, what a great way to upcycle your clock!! It looks so great now, so charming and wonderful next to your picture. Now to pour yourself that we’ll deserved glass of tea.
It does have a bit of that old world charm doesn’t it. Now where is my tea?
Quick, easy and cheap, just the way we like it! It looks wonderful, like a new clock!
Exactly the way we like it, especially in this heat! Thank you Carol!
Its very pretty what a transformation, much prefer yours to Amazons.Have your ice tea its well deserved
Thank you Mary, that’s what I like to hear. You should have an ice tea on me too!
Wow, the changes! Love the new look of your blog Mary.
What a cool idea to decoupage the clock with the doily papers!
Thank you, it was time to clean things up a bit here. As for that mess of a clock, anything would have been better than the before. Anyway I have to use up my ten pack.
The doily?! Brilliant! When I looked at it I figured ‘stencil’, so I was surprised to see the doily…which is perfect. I love the doily on it. And you really did update it with that simple fix.
As far as the heat…yeah I’m over it too. Ready for fall!
Wishing you a lovely weekend my friend.
Hugs, Lynn
I had seen in the blog I linked up to where she actually makes it look like a mosaic tile, but with paper and I really liked her brilliant idea. Maybe next time I’ll be bolder. Now where is fall??
The clock frame does fit in better now. How about using some vinyl decals or washy tape on the phone?
Now there is a thought. I could try something like that to brighten up that phone, which looks like a hole in the wall right now. Thanks for the suggestion Stella.
I guess I can tell you the decoupage queen, Mary! The clock looks much better now, it fits better with your lighter decor and it’s not boring. You deserve that ice tea, and keep doing easy projects to fight that heat.
Haha Pili. This clock should be in the trash by now, but I really would not be a DIY blogger if I did that . Hopefully another month and it will cool down, meanwhile I’m working on all these big projects, not so easy.
Super job on the upcycle Mary:) I’m always impressed with how you come up with new ways to use/relove household items. Creative!
I see it as a challenge to myself. Can it be repurposed before it hits the dreaded trash?
Completely transformed, Mary. Nice job! Thanks for linking with #overthemoon!
Thanks Cathy it sure is better than the black hole it was before.
I live both of your doily projects!! You are super creative and thrifty to boot! That’s my favorite combination! ♡♡♡
Thanks Kim. I wanted to try something a little bit different. I’m glad you like them, even if they aren’t red. 😉
Mary, what a super idea. It was so easy to get a totally new look. I love the upcycle! Thanks so much for sharing with us at #SimplifyWednesdays . Pinned Tweeted Shared and Stumbled
Thank you Carla, the easier the better in this heat.
What a fun and easy project. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday!
Thank you Sara. Easy is always fun!
Your family better not stand still too long, they will get an update too! I am so impressed by all of the projects you’ve done, there are so many. You would think with the heat you would slow down, but you keep finding one project after the next. Seriously amazing.
You definitely deserve a glass of iced tea, in a spot where you can gaze at your pretty clock. It looks great!
Nikki you are too funny. I do keep on going, at least this one was easy. There are others that take weeks, and it’s not the work but the thinking that takes time. Then there are others that need days to dry etc. This one takes the cake for easy.
Of course you deserve a cold drink after this makeover! I am so curious what you’re going to do with the phone!
Katerina cheers! I have no idea what to do with that phone. If I paint it with chalk paint, will it still work? haha!
I’m not going to lie, if I lived where you do, I’d probably be spending my days at the beach instead of inside. 😉 I do love what you’ve done with this clock though, and I love that it looks easy enough that even I could do it.
Jessica I thought the same thing before moving here but the truth is the sun can be absolutely brutal. I like going to the beach in the morning before the heat sets in. The nice thing about living so close is that you can pop over have your swim and be home in an hour.
Such a fun way to use doilies! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
I love the makeover. It’s amazing what you do with a doily. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best.
