I had this old blanket that was sort of velour with a velvety finish. But it was very dark and very boring. I had it hidden away in the closet for many years.
If you are joining me from Ashley's blog Modern Glam I want to welcome you! Recently a few of my blogging friends suggested that we do a blog hop with a cozy theme and I knew that old blanket was the perfect candidate for this post. I really wanted to add a fun element to it. So today I am here to share with you how I easily transformed a blanket with yarn, to give it a bit of fun and fringe!
Stay with us till the end and you will see what the rest of my friends are up to.
This post is looooong overdue. It was my last project from the apartment in Greece. The truth is I have been so busy with holiday projects and getting settled here that I didn't have time to share this with you before. But it is also fitting that I am sharing it now because it is all about organizing - an easy cover for a bedroom clothes rack upcycle.
After I'm done showing you the clothing rack up-cycle we will take a look at the finished bedroom. It has many of my favorite pieces and yours as well, since they were in my top ten for 2017.
Welcome to our Eighty-Ninth Sweet Inspiration Link Party.
We have been quite busy since last week with mountains of snow and sludge all around us, and our attempts to maneuver around them. But that is the beauty of winter. (Can you tell I'm still in the honeymoon phase of my move to New York?) It seems to be taking forever to melt!
The party starts on Fridays 11am EST or 4 pm GMT and runs until Tuesday. By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to our party. We hope you will join us every week to share and inspire with your projects and creations.
We will be visiting all of you who link up with us and sharing, pinning all that good stuff. We really do appreciate your visits.
It is 2018 and that means new things. I am so excited to share with you that I have joined a wonderful group of ladies who host a monthly blog hop with the theme "Ten on Ten". I can see you scratching your heads and wondering what that must be. Well, on the tenth of every month, ten of us will be teaming up to share different projects. So for the price of one... meaning me, you will also get another nine bloggers who share their projects and ideas on the same theme.
This month we decided to start the year running and dive right into Valentine's day. And so I present ten projects for a special Valentine's Day. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see the rest of the ladies' posts.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have all recovered from the holidays. I had a wonderful time, so good in fact, that I am now ready to share with you my most popular DIY posts for 2017. Let me know which were your favorites.
I'm Mary and I recently moved to New York from beautiful Greece. I like to re-purpose and up-cycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece and New York.
