It's my favorite time of the month, time for another edition of International Bloggers Club. If you are new here, we are a group of friends from all over the world who get together every month to share our projects, compare notes and see how we do things in our corner of the world. Last month we shared flat lays photo shoots, in my case one about Greece and the month before crafts with baskets.
This month we are going to work on projects with wood. Now you all know that I had a big basement back in Greece with an endless supply of everything. So it should come as no surprise to you that I also have a basement here in my new home. This one also has quite a lot of stuff. We shall see what I dig up in the coming months. But for today we are going to work with a humble piece of wood.

I have been itching to write this post for about a month now. I wanted to let you all know about my decision to move to the US and why it's so fantastic to be fifty and over. But before I get to it let me invite you all to visit with my Fantastic Fifty lady friends who are also participating in this fantastic blog hop. Their links are on the bottom of this post.
We could say that this is a continuation of my blogging journey. Today I am going to talk to you about my recent move, my trip with a one way ticket.

Once upon a time there was an old laminate table. It folded out into a bigger table. But the table, nice as it was had seen better days. It was old and chipped and the sides were worn. It was time to throw it out! Oh wait, I'm a DIY blogger! I can do this!! Or at least I can try!! Cause I really don't know much more than you do.
If you have an old piece of furniture don't despair! I try to make lots of mistakes on my blog so you won't have to... gotta love that! Today I managed to make very few mistakes! "wink" But enough with the exclamation points, it's time to roll up our sleeves and show you how to save this old laminate table with gel stain!

I got to go to Ground Zero this week. It was quite a sobering moment for me since I had also visited the Twin Towers right before we left for Greece 21 years ago. But more on that in the coming weeks. I hope you are all having a great weekend! We kindly ask that you do not add your link parties to the linkup, otherwise we will have to remove them.
