I am a coffee addict! There I've said it.
I've had all my coffee stuff hidden away in the cabinets but when I get up in the morning I really don't want to have to look around to find my coffee making stuff. Now I had seen lots of friends making coffee stations and coffee bars and I really liked this idea.
This is what my makeshift coffee area looked like... meh!
It was inexcusable for me to have this mess. I needed to make something pretty right away!
By now you must all know that fall is my favorite time of the year. And during fall we have Halloween which is always so much fun to decorate for. Last year, while still in Greece we had a blast for Halloween with Mr. Pumpkin Man and we even had a Halloween party.
So it is only fitting that now that we are in the States we will be going all out and celebrating. And what easier way to celebrate then by putting together an easy and thrifty Halloween vignette that is created with re-purposed items.
Today I am also joining some very special friends for a Fall/Halloween blog hop, so be sure to check them out at the end of this post.
For the past few days I have been opening the facebook news feed and been bombarded with pumpkins and leaves and apples and all sorts of lovely Autumn things. And it upsets me because I do not have Autumn where I am. And so I give you my obligatory post in praise of autumn.
Τις τελευταίες μέρες όταν ανοίγω το Facebook έχω βομβαρδιστεί με κολοκύθες και φύλλα και μήλα και όλα τα όμορφα πράγματα του Φθινόπωρου.
Would you believe it is time for school to begin? Why in fact schools have already started in many parts of the world.
I did a casual survey on my Facebook page and found out that the traditional school opening of Labor Day and after, no longer seems to apply! In fact most of the readers who answered said school starts before Labor day in their regions. And let's not talk about South Africa, they start in January! That one totally threw me off.
Well I think those poor kids should have a few more weeks of relaxation to drive mom crazy just a bit more "wink"! But when they do finally go back to school, why not give them a gift to celebrate. But not any gift! Here are my 16 fun and easy Back to School DIY gift ideas.
This is a special post. It comes from the heart. It is all about finding trash and making the best of it. It is also KariAnne's story. Yes, the KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms that inspired me to paint my happy chairs! It is all about a nautical sign that is So Close To Amazing!
And now you are wondering, what the heck am I talking about? What is this so close to amazing?
It is a moment! A feeling you get...
When you get this close and then ... you just don't make it to the finish line.
You get this close... and the meal still doesn't turn out the way it's meant to.
When you get this close ... and the diy project does not live up to your vision.
