And finally I have gotten my act together enough, to bring you the third part of the New York Botanical Gardens. This third installment is all about the remarkable Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.
Last month I made a visit to our local Botanical Garden here in New York. It is truly an oasis in the middle of the city and close to my home.
I'd like to share a bit of the magic that goes on around here with you today.
A warning, this also happens to be a long photo essay, but I believe if you stick with me till the end it will be worth your time. And you will see why I consider it to be the greatest botanical garden in the world.
Time seems to be flying by around here. It is the tenth of the month and you know what that means. Yes it is time for me to join my friends on Ten on the Tenth for another project. This time we have gotten together to share flower related ideas. Last month we shared beauty and fashion ideas.
Today I am sharing photos of 12 varieties of stunning flowers that grow in my neighborhood. Now if there is one thing you, my regular readers, know about me, it's that I have a brown thumb. I am terrible at keeping things alive. So when this idea came along I really struggled with it.
Be sure to scroll all the way down to see what my blogging friends came up with this month.
About a month ago I took a trip down to Greenwich Village, home of my alma mater, New York University. And while I was busy gawking at all the buildings my daughter had a chance to take some actual photos which I'd like to share with you today.
Because truth be told she is the better photographer in the house! And she is showing us some interesting things to see in New York's Greenwich Village.
A month ago I had to go to New York's Lower Manhattan to take care of some business with my son and when we were finished he suggested that we should walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. After all it was right there waving at us.
And that is exactly what we did. Today I'd like to take you along with us ... on a tour of the astonishing Brooklyn Bridge walkway.
I'm Mary and I recently moved to New York from beautiful Greece. I like to re-purpose and up-cycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece and New York.
