Since moving to our new/old home things have gotten very complicated. The rest of the family was already living here so instead of starting from scratch with a clean slate, I came into a house that had way too much already. My dad who also lives here had accumulated a LOT of stuff.
Most of it will have to go (read: garage sale in the spring) but some of it is useable. Point in case this lamp you see below. I found two of them and knew they'd be perfect for my daughters' room. Let's seen how I gave a new life to old lamps.
Today I am sharing with you another repurpose of a picture frame that I made into easy wall decor for the holidays.
I started out with this simple plastic frame. It was cheap plastic but I was determined to make it something special - something gift worthy.
I would also like to invite you to visit my friends at the Creative Christmas Link Party below.
Many of you may be seeing a lot of Christmas posts out there, but being that I am a confirmed Autumn Lover I'm not ready to let go of fall just yet. During one of my recent walks around the neighborhood I picked up these pretty leaves you see below.
I just couldn't see not bringing them home to hold onto their warm colors. And hold onto them I did with this how to easily add fall in your home project!
For about four years now I have been cleaning my wood furniture with a very simple mixture. I'm not even sure where I found this but it has worked wonders for me. I've used it on the showcase table and on the drawer and stool repurposed as a small table.
But I have never really shared it with all of you, not properly. Today I am going to correct that and show you how to easily clean wood with just 2 ingredients. A great way to upcycle items!
It's been a month since I've returned from my trip to New York where I visited my sons. I had a great time and even got to meet the family cat. But I also did a bit of housekeeping, reorganizing and refreshing some things. Today I'd like to share a different type of post with you. I'm taking you on a glimpse into my world and a few odds and ends that I worked on while there.
This is the living room. Of course those lovely burlap pillows were a gift to my older son but I did find time to display them first. The Peace pillow is a gift from my dear friend Nikki Frank Hamilton. You can visit her at the Make Lemonade Shop to check out her selection or you can custom order your pillows like I did.
I'm Mary and I recently moved to New York from beautiful Greece. I like to re-purpose and up-cycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece and New York.
