Facebook Photos for October

11/9/2016

My favorite month has ended and it was quite an enjoyable month in terms of weather and activities. But we cannot close things till we look at the most popular Facebook photos for October.

In case some of you do not know, I upload Photos of the day to my Facebook page here.  They are slices of life in Greece, things I find of interest.   This is my way of saying thank you for your support.  However some of you do not follow me on social media and so I have created this monthly series to share the most popular photos with you on the blog.

I have to say that looking back this was quite a strange month full of hodge-podge of photos.  And your selections show me just how diverse things were. Lots of colors and a range of landscapes, not to mention textures.  Now I'll let the photos do the talking.

This photo was taken while I was visiting the waterfront and photographing the old buildings. This photo depicts a window.  The window has a wooden shutter on the inside, which can be seen fainty.  At the same time, the glass has captured the reflection of the stone building which is across the road. I guess we can say there are many layers to this photo. And that is why I have chosen it as the bonus photo.

And this officially wraps up the month.  I hope you enjoyed the Facebook photos for October, and will visit my photo gallery here for more photography.  Now I want to know, which is your favorite for the month?

Mary I enjoy all of your photos, but to see them again wrapped up in this series is a treat each month! Thank you for that! I absolutely love them all, but my most favourite one is looking up in the tree! It's stunning and so endless and just dreamy and relaxing at the same time!

That is one view that we don't normally think about Katrin. I love to look up because it is full of surprises. These are fig trees mixed in with another one that is even bigger.

Florence there is so much to see in Greece. All I need is the focus the lens gives me. It helps me to concentrate a bit better.

I really need to get over to FB and follow you Mary. I don't think I do currently.

I love the sunset photo also, but the simplicity of the fruit appeals to me too. They're all lovely, and tell a story of a beautiful country with many blessings.

The green photo is from a lemon tree. We have a lemon farm so that is most prevailant. And it is also full of thorns... ouch!

Hello Mary,
wonderful pictures (as always) - you've sure got an eye for your surroundings. I still refer the picture of the window, cannot explain why, I simply do.
Enjoy your day,

As always Mary, your photos are beautiful. My personal favorite is probably the log over the path. I can almost picture little hobbits crossing over it while they're on their hobbity quests. And that sunset, it takes you're breath away is so beautiful.

Oh Michelle you just made my day. The little hobbits. I always watch the LOTR every year at around this time but this year I have just been too busy. Let me see if I can do something about this.

Marie would you believe me if I told you that even I don't know what I'm going to end up with when I snap a photo. I love being surprised. Sometimes I think this one will look great and then there is the glare which has snuck in from who knows where . Other times I take one which I think is average and then it seems to reveal itself to me. And here I am rambling on....

Thanks for giving us a daily glimpse into your lovely country.

We don't start to feel the winter here till about Mid-November and even then it is still not cold. It rarely gets below freezing in this part of Greece.

As always, I love all your photos. But that Greece sky is amazing, isn't it? From the sun coming up and shining through the clouds, to a totally cloudy day the sky is just beautiful. I also love the nature pictures, that tree trunk is grooved so neatly. And the bonus picture is pretty fascinating with the building next door being imprinted on the photo. Really cool.
