August is the month when most of Europe goes on vacation! But not me, I'm still slaving away at my projects. Anyway I have no reason to go on vacation since I live in vacation land! Stay cool everyone and enjoy your weekend!!
We will be visiting all of you who link up with us and sharing, pinning all that good stuff. We really do appreciate your visits.
Please only pin from the original blog post, just click on the links below, they will lead you there! Thanks!
The party starts on Fridays 11am EST or 4 pm GMT and runs until Tuesday. By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to our party. We hope you will join us every week to share and inspire with your projects and creations.
Ginger and pears are two of my favorite ingredients for a cake and this cake from Daphne of Ivy Phyllis and Me combines both of them. The upside down look gives this cake a very interesting appearance.
If you haven't seen Lisa's approach to Date Night yet at The Syncopated Mama, you're missing a "Passport to Fun," what Lisa calls her series. She, her husband, and pre-school daughter "travel" to a different country by dressing the part, eating the food, listening to the music, and playing some fun activities related to that country. It sure sounds like fun to me!
Marie at The Interior Frugalista lovingly restores and repurposes this antique wash stand into a GORGEOUS serving station. Dry brushing, stenciling (and a sweet detail INSIDE) makes this an extra special DIY transformation.
I just love these decorative orbs that Mimi over at Home With Mimi made. You'll never guess what they were before she waved her magic wand.
When you see the before of this gorgeous unfinished dresser by Jen of Noting Grace you will understand why I picked it as my feature. The transformation couldn't have been more stark!
This week we had two favorite as chosen by you! The first is a tutorial by Just Measuring Up on how to make your own lamp.
And the second is by Junque Cottage, a Guest Room Farmhouse Makeover! Congratulations to all!

I'm Mary and I recently moved to New York from beautiful Greece. I like to re-purpose and up-cycle anything that is old or looks like junk. Join me as we use our creativity to spark some life into old things. And do it frugally! You will also see lots of photography of my Greece and New York.
