Well, now you just ruined my marriage! I really wanted a holiday in Greece or Italy, but my overprotective husband didn’t want to travel that far with our small son… And your pictures just stirred up my longing! Just kidding, it really is an ongoing discussion… π
Anyhoo, I would leave the chairs all black and live with them for a while, they will probably gain “distressing” on their own, the natural patina of a frequently used piece of furniture. And if not, you can still change them a little. (Or going by your blog, be repainted within a year… π )
Dalia you are a breath of fresh air! I sincerely hope you make it to Greece or Italy one of these days! I’ve always wanted to go to Florence but never managed it and I am just a hop away!
As for the chairs you are absolutely right, they will get patinaed on their own. In fact they have started already!
I think I´ve missed all your lovely photos this month Mary! They are all stunning as usual and i´m glad I can have a look at them here again! Have a fun August my friend!
Thanks Katrin. That’s why I upload them here otherwise we would never keep track of anything.
Ooooh! I LOOOOVE that picture with the pebbles and the sea as background. Cannot believe I actually missed it. It’s amazing!
That one is my fav too.
Yes to the distress! Beautiful photos once again – thank you, always enjoy these π
Yay for the distressing. I kind of like the brown peeking out.
You didn’t ask which ones were our favorite! Or maybe we all already voted on the cat. I don’t remember voting on the cat, but I probably WOULD vote on the cat. But if I wasn’t voting on the cat, I would vote on the pebbles. But anyhow, I’m voting on the cat. I really like that cat…probably b/c it reminds me of my cat. When he was a little cat. Now he’s a big cat.
Haha!! Florence you are so funny. OK when you all comment that is how I can tally up the “votes” comments and likes. The cat was very popular. That was a special cat with those cute eyes.
Oh Mary, these are such wonderful choices. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I always try and have two — that adorable kitten and the wonderful sailboat scene. How I’d love to see that one in person!
That is incredible. There is a sailing school and they take the kids out in these mini sailboat. It is an amazing site to see.
Awww that purr baby still makes my heart melt, but those stones with the blurred water in the background is breath taking Mary. The way the sunlight highlights all the different colors in the rocks is so beautiful.
P.S Distress π
Those are the most popular. That little kitten really stole my heart even though I’m not a cat person. I keep on saying that but you know I must be lying because every time my son shows me a photo of his cat I melt.
As always, they are all beautiful photos. My fav is the sweet face kitty. Who can resist?
No one can resist that little cutie!
Aww the Kitten is adorable #MysundayPhoto
That little kitty has stolen all our hearts!
I think the pebbles have it
I totally agree!
For me it would be boats, and that bay! Just beautiful #MySundayPhoto
Thank you. I really like those little sail boats. They almost look like toys.
The cat pictures sound like something my kids would have done when they were young! Beautiful pictures!
Kids, they are always full of surprises!
Enjoyed the post
Thank you Joe it is a gauge of all the most popular for the month.
All wonderful images. My favorite would be the cat photo.
That cat has melted everyone’s heart!
Hi Mary I only saw your blog today as I zoned in on the kitten thumbprint on Our World Tuesday. I’m goiing to see if I can follow you. What beautiful images – and yes, I’m a cat person so the kitten gets my vote too. The chairs: I would leave them black. Greetings Jo (South Africa)
Thank you so much Jo. I’ll pop over to your blog as well. That little kitten was taken by my daughter after I asked her to take some shots of the town on her evening walk. I guess I can’t coomplain since it is a remarkable little kitty!
What lovely shots!
Thank you so much!
Hello, beautiful series of photos. I love the views of the water and sailboats. Cute kitty and lovely flowers. It is hard to pick a favorite, they are all wonderful photos. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
This month has been all over the place Eileen. Or we can say that there is something for everyone.
Hello Mary & what a super collection of photos that means it’s too hard to pick a favourite!
The wee kitty is adorable!
Love your daughters artsy shots too!
Reagrds,
Christine
Thanks Christine. She is one talented kid.
Beautiful images!
Thank you Tanya!
Distress! I love the kitten photos. I am longing for one, but we still have three elderly dogs. Thanks for linking up today!
That little one is not even ours. I had sent my girl out to take photos of the town and she came back with cat photos and even more selfies! Lol!
Love the beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing. And the kitty really is too cute!
Julie thanks so much, that little one has stolen everyone’s hearts.
Lovely photos! pinned and featured on facebook and google plus. Thank you for sharing at TFT xo
Thanks so much Katy!
Every picture I looked at was my favorite, until I saw the next! They are all beautiful and there is no way to pick a favorite. And I am always for a little distressing. This way when they start to wear, they’re still looking fab! π
Thank you so much Kim. I agree with you about the distressing they will definitely get banged up!
Oh my…. all those white sails on the bay just takes my breath away!
But then …. the sun on the blades of grass… You really got some good ones Mary.

Most of these were my daughters. I’m really busy working on the smaller apt. so whenever she goes out I ask her to take some shots. She usually comes back with selfies but between them all we get some great shots.
Gorgeous pictures as always Mary – but at least your kids come back with pictures of cats, mine would come back with the cat !!
Haha! Amber you are too funny!!
what an assortment of beautiful photos! I haven’t done photo of the day on fb for a long time. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Maybe you should try it Jann. I have so much fun with it. I post a photo and ask them something totally irrelevant. It makes for lively conversation.
Mary, Congratulations on being one of our features at Share Your Style. Great photos!
Thanks so much Carol. It must have been that kitten that stole the show! π
Your photography of your country is just beautiful! I think I could easily “fall into” one of your photos. They have such depth and beautiful lighting. Your daughter is very talented, too. What great visuals they provide for meditation–as many are so serene. Thanks for sharing your talent and artwork. Beautiful!
Thank you so much Jolene. Living here in Greece it is easy to take good photos. The landscape is incredible. Thanks for taking the time to reach out.
Mary, gorgeous photos as always!! Your daughter takes after her momma, both very talented! As for the chairs I would distress them. I’ve come to find out that if I don’t distress them the kids will so I might as well do it right?! π Thanks for sharing your photos!!!
Keri you are so right about those chairs. I noticed that on one of them that I had fully panted it it has started to distress itself and it wasn’t from the kids but from the heat. Better safe than sorry.
