Things were very busy around here during the holidays. But also the changes over on Facebook make it pretty certain that you will probably not see them since the social media giant is promoting friends and family and not pages. And so since you are not seeing them on Facebook I thought this would be a good time to announce that this will be my last “Photo of the Day| collection.
But fear not, I will continue to post photography. After all there is always so much to see in New York. And I even have some photos from Greece. And if you’d like to see them you can always follow along on my photo posts here.
A centerpiece of pine cones I found while out on one of my walks around the neighborhood.
And this strange building, Via 57 West. It actually looks like this but I shot this as we were driving by so it came out looking very odd. It actually has a courtyard in the center.
This next one of the New York Stock Exchange is a favorite of mine. I love the way the light reflects of the building in the foreground. And the stones on the buildings look so bright and clean. The street is closed off to vehicles.
The first heavy snowfall of the year. This photo was taken by my daughter, InatheTeaLady at the nearby park. You can follow her on Instagram here.
This one in celebration of Christmas. I really moved away from the reds this year. And the printable represented the spirit of the holidays for me.

Hi Mary, love your photos. The strange shaped building those fishing houses are my favorites. It looks a lot busier there than here, but at least if you take a deep breath you can still msell the sea. Does it smell like Greek sea?…I’m not a fan of FB, but I can see people with pages slowly moving away.
Have a happy Hump Day.
xx
Debbie it definitely is a lot busier but where I live it is actually nice and quiet. And the sea does not have the same smell nor the same color as in Greece. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice collection Mary. Looks like you’re enjoying living in NY again.
I am enjoying it very much, we have so much to do here and so many more opportunities than back in Greece.
That building is so cool! Great photos all around!
I love the odd shaped building and St Patrick’s cathedral. Beautiful architecture. Happy Thursday!
Awe, now the urge to fulfill my Bucket List of visiting New York is even stronger. Beautiful photography and heck ya I subscribed!
Mary, I always enjoy looking at your photos. From what I can see, I’m thinking you live close to NYC, but not in it. I originally thought you lived in the city. I know you miss Greece, but it’s got to be great to be near your kids.
I love looking at the snow pictures since I haven’t really seen a heavy snowfall in years. But my favorite picture is the one with the tree with the golden leaves. Lovely photos.
I really enjoy the photos Mary and Facebook was never doing a good job of showing them to me. I have the habit of dropping by and reading your blog every week or so. I look forward to seeing more. Hugs Leanna
You really have such a great eye to capture exquisite photographs no matter where you live Mary!!!
XOXO

My favorite was the very first one; the bright greens are so pretty and I am already looking forward to spring.
Love the pictures of snow! Being from Texas that’s a rare treat for us (although we did get some this year)! Thanks for sharing at The Blogger’s Pit Stop! Roseann from http://www.thisautoimmunelife.com
Pine cones and slanted building were my favorites, but all were very nice. You’re a great photographer Mary! What kind of camera did you say you’re using?
You can really see the transition of the seasons in these photos. I love the snow, it’s not something I think of in your part of the world.
These pictures are stunning. I love the one of the church and the pine cones!
I love these photos but especially of the snow. It reminded me of when we lived in upstate New York.
great shots- thanks! We love New York, but only get out there every 5 years or so.
Those are such beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.
You have spoiled us with this collection. Love the Trinity Church one in particular #MySundayPhoto
These were marvelous shots. I’m very intrigued by the one image of the building with the sloping facade. I’ve never seen one like that.

Gorgeous shots! Love those fishing houses – wow!

Apparently, I missed something. You now live in NYC, Mary? What a change! I’ve never been to Greece, but I can only imagine… I guess you now get fall and winter, though.
I’m sorry to hear you will no longer be doing a photo of the day on facebook, but I completely understand. Social media is … complicated.
I love your pinecone centerpiece! It’s so unique! And perfect for the season!
The red leaves for the fall photo really stands out. The beach looks so safe and inviting.
These are all fabulous images but I think my favs are the snow ones, we don’t get much of it here in the UK and so I love the images of it

Mary, I love your photos and that’s too bad that Facebook has changed it’s algorithm once again but I’m glad you’ll still be sharing your photos with us here. My favorite photo is probably the one of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, what gorgeous architecture!!
