Plugging up the Mess - Συνδέοντας το χάος

Happy week to everyone.  I want to thank you all for visiting me on my previous post about tangled wires. My e-mail was exploding with enthusiasm.  As a tie in with that theme, I thought I would share another similar project.

My older daughter is an avid music fan… and that is putting it mildly.  She loves to listen to her music on those i-pods. You know those things with multiple wire extensions.  The thing is,  she is terrified one of her head phones will break and then she will be left with nothing to plug into her ears.  Hence, this is the situation in her room.  And this is a neat version.

This is where her head phones end up when she remembers to put them away, but as always they get tangled and after much frustration they end up strewn around the room… or house. Now you might ask, why so many headphones.  As I mentioned before, there is a great  fear that they will break down and she will be  left music-less.  (There can be no greater calamity than this!!)

toilet paper rolls used to organize ear plugs, Plugging up the mess - www.theboondocksblog.com
This is the easy solution I came up with.  A box, dressed up in pretty wrapping paper, and to separate the wires and headphones, I simply used toilet paper rolls. They were  about the same height as the box.

And that’s it.  Surprisingly, since I came up with this lovely solution, my daughter has kept her room wire free.  Only one pair of headphones is out of place – the one pair which is plugged into her music.

Can’t beat that.  I hope you enjoy this post as much as you did  the last one.  To see where this box ended up click here.

Jessica, Forget about my toilet paper rolls, your message is much more important! I too was like you eating out of boxes, till I moved to Greece where they did not have processed foods and I was forced to learn how to cook – best thing that ever happened to me. That was 20 years ago, now the supermarkets are full of easy foods.
