Now the sides of the cabinet are all white creating a softer look and hiding all the damage. I also decoupaged the glass doors to hide my mess.

And these have been my most popular DIY posts for this past year. I have to admit there were some surprises in the bunch, especially that clothing rack cover. But you never know what will show up in these lists. I will however, take away that you all seem to like the simpler projects the best!

Happy New Year to you too Mary. It’s always so much fun seeing the top projects of a previous year and a little surprising too. I think lots of people are looking for simple solutions to everyday problems. The drop cloth pleated curtains was definitely one of my favs from last. It was such a brilliant idea and it looks so classy and chic.
It never fails to surprise me this list. Sometimes I know where it is going and sometimes I am thrown for a loop. But simple is definitely the way to go.
I have that wrapping paper and I love it! And I don’t think I saw the dish rack organizer. I might have to try that one — it’s really terrific! I love all of these, Mary!
Thanks Jeanie, I left that dish rack organizer back in Greece and I miss it so much. I guess maybe on my next trip I’ll bring it along.
Happy New Year, Mary! Nice to see a round up of creative ideas in one place and looking forward to seeing more in 2019 🙂
Thanks so much Marie. It is always fun to look back and get an idea of what the readers like the best.
I had forgotten how pretty the Valentine’s Day project is. The drop cloth drapes may be my favorite because I love using drop cloth. Other posts I always enjoy are the photo essays of Greece and New York. I am looking forward to see what you do in 2019. Happy New Year!
Debra to this day I still look at the way those drapes pleat and marvel at the simplicity. Simple is always better!
Love that wrapping paper framed print! What great ideas.
It was a no brainer especially when you see how many lovely prints are out there.
Great projects, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Chas.
Hi Mary, Happy 2019 dear friend! Your posts are all fantastic, this is no surprise to me! I love the dish rack repurposed into a document organizer!!
That one I had to leave behind in Greece Katrin, but oh how I miss it.
Its so much fun seeing all your projects, we all have some a long way huh! Its been great knowing you all these years.
Maria
Same hear Maria. And I like to think we all learn a little something from each other.
I love seeing all the popular posts from the year. I think I will do that too. The best is you are a DIY’er and you have before and after photos. Happy crafting, and DIY’ing, Kippi
Thank you Kippi. It is a great way to take stock of your previous year and see what was popular and also helps you to see in my case that everyone likes simple. I hope to see your list too.
I remember most of these! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
Thank you Cecilia. I love visiting your party every week.
2018 was a full year for you. Big changes and great projects!!! I wish to continue to inspire all of us with your ideas. Hugs & kisses my friend 🙂
I LOVE that Valentine’s box full of flowers, Mary! I may have to make one of those for myself this year. I also love the jewelry organizer. I never saw that post (I think that was while I was taking a bit of a break back in the spring), so it’s totally ironic that I made a similar jewelry organizer over the summer. 🙂 So many great projects this past year!
What a great collection of posts! I have enjoyed everyone of them, and I really enjoy reading your posts. Thank you for sharing at Celebrate It!
All beautiful transformations Mary! You are always coming up with something clever whether it’s saving something from the trash by turning it into pretty decor, or an storage/organizer, or even a clever way to hide something from view.
My favorite is the repurposed can, I love repurposing cans and I loved this one the moment I seen it!
I really loved that one a lot too. I think I need to make some more here in NY!
