Sharing is caring!

I hope everyone is well and keeping cool.  I’m spending lots of time on the balcony these days.  I am also  elbow deep in my barbecue grill box, pulling pieces out to try and repurpose them.  You may recall I used one part to create a planter and another part for a Father’s Day Gift. Here is the next piece that I am repurposing today to make a versatile hanging saucer. Say what?

It looks like the bottom of a flying saucer with three holes on the edge. I really didn’t care for the  shiny black so I painted over it using blackboard paint mixed with white.

I then cut up α burlap ribbon into three sections about a yard in length.

And then I made knots down the length of each one.

The ribbons were joined together and bound on the top through a curtain ring. Everything gets repurposed today.

After threading the ribbons through the holes on the black saucer, I tied them together in a big knot. …

The next piece I used from my never ending stash of odds and ends was the base of a paper towel holder without the rod.

Then to just give it a little color I added some of my homemade furniture wax which you can find here.

The next step was to add staples to the wood, and you’ll see why below.

I have many bracelets but never wear them.

Let’s repurpose them!

And now I just slip the tealight holder in and I’m done. The staples keep the bracelet in place so it doesn’t slide around on the base.

This hanging saucer is very versatile it can hold practically anything.

This little beauty is  out on my balcony.  I  just love  how easily it came together and how much fun I’m having changing it up.

And so I have created a pretty veriatile hanging saucer for my tealights.  I also managed to repurpose three different items for this little  project, which you can see below.  And wait for it… I still have more pieces from the barbecue grill.  Oh lucky me!  What would you have done with a little saucer like this?

Και έτσι  δημιούργησα έναν κρεμαστό δίσκο για το ρεσό μου. Επίσης, κατάφερα να επαναπροσδιορίσω τρία διαφορετικά αντικείμενα για αυτό το μικρό έργο. Και περιμένετε … εχω ακόμα περισσότερα κομμάτια από την ψησταριά.  Τι τύχη ειναι αυτή!  Εσείς τι θα κάνατε με ένα μικρό δίσκο όπως αυτόν;

Mary, you're so clever!!! I love how versatile it is and so pretty too!! It's amazing how you thought of this!! I really like all the different things you put in there and the bracelets can give it a new look in just seconds. I can't wait to see what else you got up your sleeve for the grill!

I try Keri. I think it has to do with the fact that we are exposed to so much creativity all day through the blogs that our minds start to expand, in a good way.

Debra I like to keep you in suspense. I actually had to think twice as to how I would present this.
