Yes, we had the party that I’ve been preparing for the last two weeks. This is something that I had totally not expected would happen at the start of October. But that is the way with blogging and with life. One thing leads to another.
“What are they up to again? And what has happened to the frames? Why are they cracked and where did those pretty pics go?”
“A blogger must live here! Only they do these crazy things and mess up perfectly nice houses like this!”
That’s it! I’m outta here!!”
”No! Just NO!”
“A basket full of candy. Maybe just a handful and then I’ll go!”
“The party has just begun, too late for me to sneak out.”
“The guests are scarier than the decor!”
There are two cuties at the party, maybe I can hang out with them?”
I hope you have enjoyed the saga of the Paranoid Man. If you wish to see the whole thing just scroll down below. I want to thank all of you for putting up with this wackiness these past few weeks. It seems that Paranoid Man had taken on a life of his own…
And now for the burning question. Do you want him to come back next month, or should we just let him live in Halloween bliss with his new girlfriend?
Happy Halloween all!

Honestly, I just love your photography in this article. You have done a great job on it. keep it up. take care.
I think the pumpkin should not come home. We have too many paranoid men in our homes as it is!! Seriously, I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog. I thoroughly enjoy your humor!
Thanks Wendy, when we’re talking about Halloween we have to keep things light and have a sense of humor. And the pumpkin needs to go on vacation, he has become a celebrity of sorts!
It turned out so great, Mary! I love how you painted up all the squash and gourds like that – such a clever idea! I’m pinning it to remember in the future!
I’m glad that you’ll pin it for the future. We had so much fun doing all of this and the kids really got involved as well.
Amazing decorations and atmosphere, Mary! Wow! You really did a great job, and your guests look like they had a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!
Poppy
Thank you Poppy. They really had a great time and it was a unique experience for them since we don’t celebrate here.
Mary, I’m so glad to see the Pumpkin Man coming out of his shell… Or is it bowl in this case? He looks great in that beanie, too. I could see him wearing it out on a casual date with his new girlfriend.
Everybody’s costumes look great and it looks like you all had a fun party. Happy Halloween!
Thanks Jenny they had a blast. And it was a once in a lifetime event for them.
Your decorations are amazing! We don’t have a party so our decor is a lot less (especially as it’s been really busy around here!) Your guests look amazing as well. I love the idea of the “paranoid man” pumpkin.
#MMBC
Jessica my paranoid man has officially become a celebrity. I don’t know what to do with him now. He refuses to get off the table. haha!
Looks like paranoid man attended one hell of a party! Those cupcakes look delish and I adore the “help me” art. You truly thought of everything.
Happy Halloween!
Much love,
Erica
Erica it was a once in a lifetime party for them. Next year they will all move on to college and who knows when they will be able to dress up as spooks. I am so happy that they enjoyed themselves. And I was able to get a few posts out of the whole thing too. 😉
Such a great party Mary and you decorated everything by your self!! I love the witch costumes but I never been to a Halloween party. I loved those cupcakes!
I think you should let paranoid man live his romance 😉
Eleana I had never thrown a Halloween party before. It was a first for me but I wanted the kids to experience this because there is no way anyone else would have done it. They really enjoyed dressing up all spooky and creepy.
As for my Paranoid guy, I think so too… after all he needs his rest after the party. 😉
It looks like the kids has a ball, Mary…and the paranoid man, too!! Fun day, fun crafts!! I see a paranoid Santa in your future! 😉
Haha Kim I don’t know what to do with him. How to I preserve him, should I give him some botox?
Your parties look like so much fun Mary. I actually gasped when I scrolled down and saw the doll, seriously creepy lol. Happy Halloween.
Poor old paranoid man, at least it all worked out for him in the end!
Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Mary, the party looks like it was a ton of fun! The decor is fabulous! Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle. Pinning to my Halloween Board.
Looks like one heck of a Party and I love Mr Paranoid 🙂
Ohhh how fun Mary! I love all your spooky touches you added to your party!! Paranoid man looks like he behaved himself and also enjoyed the party too!!
Mary, I just love Paranoid Man lol … it looks like you had a great Halloween party too xo
Great decorations. Looks like a fun party.
What a fun party this must have been, Mary! You did a great job creating all those scary decorations! I’m sure your guests were thrilled about all the wonderful details and enjoyed themselves.
The party was for my teenage daughter and her friends so it was the perfect mood with all that scary stuff. They had a great time and I was able to get some posts out of it. But now Mr. Paranoid has become a celebrity, what am I to do?
Very creative story! And love the moon face:) Thanks for coming by!
Mary, it looks as though you all had a great time. Girl, you have put so much into this party and it paid off. WOW! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
It was all for the kids Cindy. This was their chance to experience a Halloween party since they don’t celebrate here. I think they did a great job with the costumes.
That was fun! The gourd with the spiders crawling on it was a great center piece. You all did a nice decorating job!
Krista we went all out and did it right.
Hello Mary,
seems it was a lot of fun, even the Paranoic Man had a whale of a time – might have been the whipped cream indeed…
Have a good start into November,
Marjan
Marjan it maybe the kids spiked the whipped cream? Haha. They had a great time and that is all that matters.
Such fun! I enjoyed the escapades of your paranoid friend. Happy Halloween Mary!
I did too Michele. I had no idea that things would go this way at the start of October. I didn’t think I’d be hosting a Halloween party either, but one thing leads to another and this was the happy result.
Mary, you’re so funny!! I enjoy reading your posts!! It looks like the party was a smashing success. The decorations were scary and the costumes were great. I’m glad Paranoid man had fun.
I’m glad too, I couldn’t bear to see him so sad and paranoid any more. Thankfully he has overcome his fears and learned to loosen up a bit.
I cannot believe all the transformations you made to your house. The Halloween decor is everywhere, it looks fantastic, but you have to be exhausted!
I love all the artwork and the frames filled with spooky pictures! The black egg cartons look like spiders and the bats are great too!
The kids did a great job with their costumes and makeup. This will be a party remembered for a long time. Ina’s skeleton was the best! She is so talented!
And it was nice to see the Paranoid Pumpkin smile. Of course I loved that he also found a girlfriend! How fun!
Nikki I was exhausted but also very happy. All this was done over two weeks. One because I wanted to go all out for the party and two, because it would give me posts.
The kids had a blast. This was special for them to dress up like this. During carnival they usually dress up very differently not gouldish at all. Ina actually painted the bones onto her tights while she was wearing them. What a kid!
As for Paranoid man, I think he can sail off into the sunset with his sweetheart now. Haha!
What fun, Mary! Looks like you had an awesome Halloween party! Love all the frightfully fun décor, dressed up characters and especially Paranoid Man!
Gail I do think Paranoid Man had the most fun of anyone. He literally came out of his bowl!
That’s a great Halloween party Mary!! Poor paranoid man, he’d have been so scared!! I can understand him, if I see a witch with her eyeballs out I’d be scared too!! Love Ina’s makeup, I did the same last year and I still remember the kids’ faces. Love a great party like yours!!
Thank goodness he recovered from his fright and realized that even if everyone looked scary they were quite nice underneath. The kids has a blast and that is what they will remember for years to come.
Mary
That was great. How long did it take you to put everything together? Must have been ages. But it looks like everyone had a good time. Well worth the effort.
Baba I was working on all of this on and off for about two weeks. Once we made the decision to have the party it was just a matter of coming up with ideas for decor (and to be able to post about them). The food was easy and my daughter’s costume took a while. She literally painted bones on her tights.
aw, they all must have had an awesome spooky and scary Halloween party!! I absolutely love Ina’s make up, oh my, she looks so scary. I showed it to Amelie and Stella, who are with me cause we all have a day off, and they really thought she was soooo scary looking! And that Help me sign is absolutely fantastic!!! I’m glad that paranoid pumpkin man finally found a smile and ended up with a girlfriend! He looks happy now!
Everything turned out great. The kids had such a fun time dressing up, which is something they normally do not get to do. And I’m sure your girls had a great time too.
As for my paranoid pumpkin he is truly happy now. No more hats for him. He is enjoying not hiding in his bowl too.
Oh Mary, finally the Paranoid Man is happy and he has such a lovely smile too. It must be love, or too many sweets perhaps? Great party and it was awesome seeing it through his eyes. Love him to bits.
Michelle, he had the time of his life at the party. He came out of his bowl! Was it the love or the sweets?
It all looks scaaaaaaaaary and fun. Love your daughter’s costume!!!
The kids had a once in a lifetime experience and I am so happy for that, plus I got a few posts out of it! 😉
How funny Mary! Looked like a great party with lots of creepy decorations, especially that doll. Looks like Mr Paranoid man had a great time at the party. Was it the sweets or the girl, lol.
He sure did Linda. He got over his social awkwardness and found a girl. Haha ! And the kids had a great time.
I vote to bring him back so his adventures can continue. It looks like it was a great party. Happy Halloween.
It was epic Debra, and the walls did not cave in! Haha! I will try to bring him back for Christmas, let’s hope he doesn’t rot by then… shhhh! 😉
Mary this is fantastic, you must have worked very hard, what with all the decoration, baking ,you even had spiders on your cutlery,I love it.
I really went all out Mary because it was the first party in 20 years so I think they deserved it. All in all they had a blast and got to experience a holiday that they normally would not have been in contact with.
I was waiting to see the final result.
I bet everyone had a really good time. Putting this together looks like a lot of work and even more fun.
I got to say that bloody doll gave me the serious heeby geebies and seriously Mary spiders on the table. Bleck lol
Leanna I’m lucky the walls didn’t come down. The kids had a blast because it was a special party for them.
It was a lot of work but I also managed to get three posts out of it, so I will not have to think about Halloween for the next five years. haha!
And no nasty words about the doll, she is after all Paranoid Man’s girlfriend now. 😉
Ahhh SUCH a fun party!! ;P LOVE it. Super creative, and creepy too… that doll… eeek!!
Now, Sarah Eliza don’t be down on the doll. After all she won the Paranoid Man’s heart. Haha! I had a blast with all of this.
ooh, i love everyone’s costumes but NOT the creepy doll lol.
enjoy!
b
Haha! But the creepy doll is the one that helped Paranoid man get over his social anxiety. Haha! I really had a great time doing this series.
Loved the Paranoid Man as the party presenter! He was perfect for the job and he left you enjoy all the fun! Great work!
Katerina I wasn’t even at the party. Haha! I saved my ears the pain. But the kids had a blast and that’s all that matters.
Looks like a fab party Mary – love all the little touches, the doll is truly creepy! We definitely want to continue seeing Paranoid Man – I think he should go everywhere with you! and you couldn’t eat him now – it’d be like eating an old friend!
Sarah you are so right, how can I possibly be thinking about Pumpkin pie… shame on me! Anyway he has a girlfriend now.
