If you have been following me you know what I have done so far. But I have not shown you what the room looked like before. So maybe this is a good time to show you a little before …

I love the transformation and what a sturdy bunk bed! I love the blue stripes you have added and how it looks against the colors in the bedding.

Carrie, it was such a simple trick , but it makes a huge difference. Thanks for stopping by.
Now that’s a really clever idea!! It looks great!
Thanks Keri, I’m almost done… whew!!
Mary, it is awesome how some fabric can change an entire room. I love the detail of the Frankenstein lamp behind the bunk bed. Can’t wait to see the rest of the room!
Pili, your wish is coming true.. I am finished and will upload the room next time! Thanks for your sweet words.
So fabulous, Mary! The fabric head/foot boards are GENIUS! If my daughter, with her own blue bedroom, complains about all the wood of her loft bed, I’ll show her this idea. You might very well save the day! 😉
I hope so Elizabeth. We need to find frugal ways to update their rooms because their style changes every year…lol
What a lovely transformation, you are an artist Mary!
Love it,
Anne.
Hi my favorite first friend. Thak you for the compliment. It is you who are the artist!!
Mary you’re fabulous! What a simple yet awesome idea! I would have never thought of that and I love it. Can’t wait to see the rest of the room!!!

A very pretty makeover, Mary! I love combining stripes with complementary patterns. I’m sure your daughter loves it!
Happy Sunday!
Poppy
Poppy we are finally finished. She had a hand in all of this so she is very happy!
Wow, it really made a difference! Great idea Mary, can’t wait to see what you do next! Btw this looks just like the bed me and my sister had growing up, it survived almost 15 years and it would survive another 15 if we didn’t outgrown it!
Ntina, I’ve had this through 4 kids and it is still going strong. Maybe I’ll save it for when the grandkids visit, (when my kids have them… ).
What a neat trick! Love the stripes 🙂
Hi Jas,I guess this means you’re back home. Welcome, can’t wait to see all your pictures. Thanks for visiting.
We have that Ikea bed, and I have been dreading painting it. Using fabric is such a simple, brilliant solution. Thank you!
A simple solution to avoid the painting. Rebecca, maybe we can even wrap fabric around it and cover more of the wood. Thanks for stopping by.
Very clever way to update the bed! Thank you for sharing with us at Friday Favorite and we hope to see you again this week!

How cute is this transformation!? I would have loved to be able to transform my bunk bed and make it a little more personalized when I was a kid! Great idea!
Thank you Sara, That bed needed some kind of change, short of painting it that was the best I could do. Thank’s for droppingby.
Such a cute transformation that I’m certain your daughter must love! Combining patterns doesn’t always work, but this one certainly did. :).
I found you via CLH, and I see you follow Poppy, my good friend, too, so it’s great to meet you!
Thanks Doreen. The blue is her favorite color so I tried to use as much of it as possible. It is nice meeting you too.Thank you for visiting and I will try to find your blog too. .

Your family is so lucky to have you! It’s amazing what you can do with a bit of paint and a few yards of fabric or yarn or twine! I am amazed at the transformation, can you get her out of the room!!!!
