I generally try not to wait till the last minute when it comes to decorating or planning for a holiday. But even if I do, I usually find projects that are easy to make and frugal! These Valentine’s day crafts are an easy and fun way to decorate your home or create a gift for someone you love.
I am so excited to share with you that I have joined a wonderful group of ladies who host a monthly blog hop with the theme “Ten on Ten”. I can see you scratching your heads and wondering what that must be. Well, on the tenth of every month, ten of us will be teaming up to share different projects. So for the price of one… meaning me, you will also get another nine bloggers who share their projects and ideas on the same theme.
This month we decided to start the year running and dive right into Valentine’s day. And so I present ten projects for a special Valentine’s Day. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see the rest of the ladies’ posts.
Simple Wall Decor
This simple Valentine’s day craft can be made in a matter of minutes. It adds a pretty whimsical look to any room and the branch is such a nice rustic touch!
This lovely wall decor was repurposed from an old wood tray. Keri of Repurposing Junkie created her own stencils and then added them onto the wood. I think this is a great Valentine’s day craft, and it’s rustic enough to be used all year long as well.
I would love to keep fresh cut flowers in my home every day if I could, who wouldn’t? But since fresh cut flowers are not always possible so learn how to make your own pinecone flowers with our step-by-step DIY tutorial!
Using just a few materials you likely already have at home and a little bit of time, this rustic heart wreath can be hanging on your wall or door in no time flat (and for little cost too!).
This little heart was made thanks to my son’s enthusiasm when he was young. It is a piece from a wooden basket. He managed to break it and I in turn repurposed it into this sweet gift idea using decoupaged paper.
Using a frame as a backdrop, I created this simple idea and added a heart made out of twine wrapped wire. It is very easy to make and after you are done you can still use the frame and add something else in the front.
This bold heart had very humble beginnings in the form of paper towel rolls. By the time I was done with it, it measured over 2 feet tall. A big statement Valentines day craft to show your valentine just how much you love them.
These adorable flowers shaped into a heart have stolen my heart. They make the perfect Valentine’s day craft and if you were to change out the color of the flowers they could easily be displayed all year long.
Now I know that Valentine’s Day is still a month away, but that doesn’t mean we cannot surround ourselves with lovely heart decor or take the time to create a few of these easy gift ideas. I hope you have enjoyed my selection of Valentine’s day crafts! Do you do anything special?
Lots of pretties here today Mary!
I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day but if you want to make me a cigar box filled with chocolate I won’t turn it down ;).

Lovely ideas, I especially like Katrins paper hearts. It is actually my Birthday on Valentine’s Day and this year is a particularly significant one so I may be putting a few decorations up..
What a great collection of Valentine projects, Mary. I always try to make something for my family on Valentine’s Day because I think it means so much more when you take the time to make something homemade. I particularly like the stenciled tray and the paper spirals heart. Is that called quilling!
