Sharing is caring!

This is a fringed fleece scarf.  It has been pulled so much that it goes all the way down to my knees.  It was time to find another purpose for it other than taking up space in my dresser.

Basically I just folded the scarf and tie the fringes together.

Here is what they look like.

It’s a little time consuming so you can watch something on tv while tying the fringe.  My choice for today was Vampire Diaries… because I have teens!

After tying all the fringe of one side I cut 1/3 of it. I refolded the 2/3rd and tied the bottom fringes.  The final step was to add the top part.

And I had a pocket. You can do it any way at all, as long as you are  tying the fringes.  I did it this way because I wanted  that particular shape to my pillow.

I stuffed the pocket with a pillow, and closed it by sewing it.  Yes, my method was not a no-sew. You could also use  glue.

So I cheated a little, but at least now I’ve got a beautiful and cool almost no-sew fleece pillow to give as a Christmas gift.  Who am I kidding: I’m gonna keep it for myself.

Okay, this is seriously clever Mary and I absolutely love the look of your pillow! What a great idea for a blog hop and I like that by the time December rolls along you'll have 12 gifts ready to wrap. After seeing your pillow, I think if it were me, I would have 12 new gifts for myself! LOL

Marie, you are so right lol!! We'll have to see how many of those gifts I'm actually going to give! By the looks of it, these projects are so nice I won't want to give any away or I'll have to make doubles.

Thanks Leanne. I like how it turned out so much. I took it ouside to the balcony to photograph it and the wind was blowing. My daughter was listening to a song and it had these lyrics about "Farah Faucet Hair" and I thought about how my pillow had her hair too! Now why am I telling you all this? Lol!!
