And so this month I have asked my daughter to help me out. She had gone on a trip with her friends to the Ionian Island of Kefalonia and came back with lots of photos. Kefalonia in Blue so we can enjoy the beaches of this Greek Ionian Island.
And now we shall let the lens do the talking!

Hi Mary: Your daughter does take lovely high quality photos. I was struck by how many different shades of blue she captured amongst the different moods of the water. It is all very beautiful and serene to look at.
Isn’t it amazing how you can be in one place and yet get so many different pictures. Next month I will show you the same area but this time in brown.
I wish I were there right now.
Amalia

Best compliment if the photos make you feel that way!
What lovely images! My first trip ever to Europe was to Greece, and it was wonderful. Sadly, I haven’t made it back, but…someday!
But you never know Chloe you might make it one day in the future. Just not now… it is way too hot.
Looks lovely! I love how blue the water is.
And the photos of the water are very accurate. I think it is the reflection of the blue sky into the water that makes it look so blue.
I love these pictures I really must visit Greece and the Greek Islands
You must it is a once in a lifetime experience.
I love the images Mary it looks like such a relaxing place. Love your new look website too. Thanks for sharing with us at #BloggersPitStop
Thanks Sue for dropping by.

Thank you so much Amy. I was so happy when she came home with all these photos.
i love these glorious captures the light is lovely, and all that blue sea is very calming.
Thank you Sherry. The blue of the sea never gets boring.
Good Morning Mary,
When I read your title, I was excited to see your daughter’s photographs. The reason is, after watching the film Captain Corelli’s Mandolin many years ago, it is a place I would love to visit.
Your daughter has captured the island beautifully. She really is a talented photographer. I look forward to the next installment.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
Thank you so much Daphne. I’m sure you know all about the Greek landscape. The islands can be so magical and full of a different air than the mainland.
Ive just come back from Kefalonia and it was absolutely stunning!
Oh how wonderful. You may have seen my daughter and not known it.
She’s talented just like her mama. Such beautiful photographs! I think my favorite is the one with the sandy beach and the flow of the water cuts differently, really cool! Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos!!
Thank you Keri. I am in awe of her talent. What she does is done effortlessly while it takes me forever to get a shot.
Absolutely beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best.
Thank you Rhonda for the feature.
Your daughter is very talented and I’m just following her on instagram! I’ve only been in Kefalonia on Easter so I really enjoyed these series!
Aww thanks so much Katerina. She is very artsy but in her photos she has an eye that leaves me :O sometimes.
Love that shadow on the deck of the ship!
Yes!! She really nailed that one!
…the blues are gorgeous, but on some of those beaches you sure would have to watch your step!
You really do Tom but at least you won’t get sand all over.
It is relaxing just looking at your daughter’s beautiful pictures!
Thank you so much Terri, each photographer has their own special view.
She is quite a talented photographer and that island looks amazing!
Thank you so much!
Hi Mary, I really love your photos of this gorgeous area and especially seeing where Captain Corelli was set! Thanks for sharing and I’ve pinned onto my group board.
Thank you so much Debbie. There is so much to see on this island.
The blue color of the water in that first photo is very striking. Thank you for linking up.
I am really proud of my girls photo skills. Thank you!
Stunning photos!!
Thank you so much Carole!
Beautiful shots, Mary! I agree – your daughter is a wonderful photographer! I’d love to try some of that lobster pasta!
Amy that girl of mine is so talented but she doesn’t listen to me when I tell her.
So very blue-tiful!
Thank you so much Lady Fi!
The water is so clear. A beautiful beach area to visit. – Margy
Thanks Margy, it really is a special place.
Such a gorgeous spot!
It is an incredible island.
Your daughter is very talented! LOVE the blue water and all of these photos. Thank you for linking up today and I hope to see you back again.
Thank you so much Michelle. I am very proud of her.
Gorgeous photos! Your dsughter takes beautiful photos just like her mother. I wish the water around here was blue like in your photos. I love all the photos but the photo that has the folded umbrellas , and the pink flowers in the front with the pretty water and mountain in the back is my favorite..
I’m bad on remembering the movies I’ve seen, but I don’t think that I’ve seen that one.
Linda she is so much better than me. She really has the eye for it. Thank you for your sweet comment. I’m going to read them all to her.
These are lovely Mary. That very first one made me catch my breath. The colors, the composition, everything is gorgeous. She is very talented
Thanks Michelle. What she does is so effortless whereas I have to suffer to get a decent pic.
Your daughter is a gifted photographer! Kefalonia is indeed very beautiful and she has captured it spectacularly. Especially love the photo you said is pinterest worthy. Always love seeing more of Greece, you live in a gorgeous country. Thank-you and your sweet daughter too!
And thank you Ellen for your very sweet comment. I am reading them all to her, just to let her know how special I think she is.
Totally stunning photos!! Loved these!!
Thank you Pam. I will let my girl know of your sweet comment.
You live in an incredible area, Mary!! One of these days, I’ll have to pop over and say hello!!

I certainly hope you will Jodie. You will love it.
Lovely!
We’d love to see Kefalonia one summer in the future. Last year we went to Zakynthos, this year we are in Corfu, but next year my hubs wants to visit Crete. Hopefully, wishes will come true 🙂
Maya you are circling me. I live near Patra in the Peloponnese. Maybe one of these days we can meet up. In the meantime enjoy your stay at Corfu!
Dear Mary,
she’s your daughter for sure – well, she’s got your keen eye for beautiful pictures. Love them all!
Give her a hug from me,
Marjan
*Hugs back Marjan*
Thanks for the sweet compliment but I think I am the one who took after her. 😉
Your daughter inherited your photography skills and eye for composition. I enjoyed the tour of Kefalonia very much.
Sharon I think it is the other way around. She has shown me how to be a better photographer. Thanks for the sweet comment.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful post at Snickerdoodle.
Photo 6 is my fave. Love the details in those rocks. Wonder what kind of camera she has. All are beautiful photos!
Those rocks and the texture in that photo really had me swooning Florence. She uses a point and shoot camera nothing fancy. It’s a Canon Powershot.
Mary your daughter´s photos are beautiful and how nice of her to share them with you and us here! As always, Greece is so breathtaking and stunning and I wish to go… It looks like she had a wonderful time on Kefalonia and I remember that movie!
The beauty of these island is that they are not like the ones over at the Aegean which are mostly rock. Here we get a bit of green too which makes for a nice variety.
Ummm, Ina, no shrugging off your Mama when she tells you that you’re an amazing photographer – seriously, these photos are stunning! You have an eye for composition – obviously – you’re a videographer! Thanks for sharing your photos of Kefalonia with us.
Ina says thank you!! She loves her photos!!
I’m enchanted and over the moon with this beautiful spot. The photos are fabulous and I can’t imagine your time there was anything but fabulous either!
My girl went with her friends and she had the best time Jeanie. It was a graduation present for them all.
Your daughter is so talented. The colors are gorgeous. The photos are so inspirational.
Debra the more I stared at them the more I saw in them. As if they were unfolding themselves to me.
My dream is to visit every single Greek island and enjoy its beauty and soak up its culture. Not to mention fill up with yummy Greek delicacies.
Now that is a very worthwhile dream, especially the yummy food.
Wow! This is a gorgeous island (but I am sure every Greek island is beautiful). Maybe you should show your daughter the comments on this post. In that way, she can feel proud of her photos.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment Ruth. That is exactly what I have been doing, sharing all the love you readers have given us.
Thanks for sharing your daughter’s gorgeous photos of Kefalonia with us Mary just stunning. She has captured it perfectly. Enjoy your summer. #overthemoon.
I am so proud of her Sue. When she showed them to me my mouth literally dropped!
Hello, what a lovely post. The blues are gorgeous, love the views of the island. Your daughters photos are beautiful, thanks for sharing. I am stopping by from Michelle’s Thankful Thursday.
Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend ahead!
Thanks for the visit Eileen. My girl did a great job with these photos and it is always fun to see other peoples point of view.
Hello Mary and talented photographer daughter!
I thoroughly enjoyed these blues (my favourite colour!)
There is such a freshness about them that makes me sigh in appreciation of the beauty of the sea and island!
Beautiful, every shot!
Christineandhercamera.blogspot.com
Thank you so much Christine. I am going to convey your comment to her right this minute.
She captured it well. We spent a few days there in 2014 while waiting for our house purchase to close. In fact the deal fell through while we were there but we still hold such fond memories of the island and its beauty. We will go back one day.
Jackie I think you have probably been to more places in Greece than I have.
Hi Mary, we can see Kefalonia so clearly from Zakynthos, but we’ve never been over! Crazy really as I’ve heard it’s such a beautiful island. I hope your daughter had a fab time over there. My favourite photos are photos 9 & 11. They evoke a feeling of calm.
xx
That they do Debbie. I have also been to your island but never to Kefalonia. Maybe I’ll come visit you and we can hop on over there together someday!
She is very talented – love the photos. I have never seen a bad photo of Greece. Your country with its blue waters and colorful buildings seems to be a perfect place to photograph.
Hope you were no where near the earth quake the other day. I thought of you as soon as I heard about it.
Carol I have to agree with you. It is so easy to take good photos when there is so much beauty all around. The only time I take bad ones is when the sun is high up and I get a glare from too much sunlight.
That one with the pink on the water is gorgeous!
Sunset photos, they are my favorite hands down!
It looks so beautiful there
How can it not be with so much blue. It is the most calming color and in the summer it is at it’s most beautiful.
We are on holiday in Kefalonia right now. It is such a beautiful place. Your daughter’s pictures really capture it perfectly
mollyx
Oh wonderful! Enjoy yourselves!
