Autumn is here in full swing. The days are getting colder and I still have not started decorating for this, my favorite season. I needed a quick fix to get me in the Fall mood. This is the first thing that caught my eye. What attracted me to this bottle was the orange plastic on top. It looks kinda pumpkinish. So why not turn it into a pumpkin?
Το φθινόπωρο είναι εδώ σε πλήρη εξέλιξη. Οι μέρες γίνονται όλο και πιο κρύες και εγώ ακόμα δεν έχω αρχίσει τη διακόσμηση για την αγαπημένη μου εποχή. Χρειαζόμουν μια γρήγορη λύση για να μπω σε φθινοπωρινή διάθεση. Αυτό είναι το πρώτο πράγμα που τράβηξε την προσοχή μου. Το μπουκάλι εχει ένα πορτοκαλί πλαστικό στην κορυφή. Μοιάζει κάπως σαν κολοκύθα. Γιατί λοιπόν να μην μετατραπεί σε κολοκύθα;
Using black chalkboard paint, I painted the labels. Once they had dried I simply prepared them by using chalk all over and wiping it clean. Then it was time to draw an image and play.
I found another bottle along the way and painted it the same way.
Βρήκα κι’άλλο μπουκάλι και το ζωγράφισα με τον ίδιο τρόπο.
The bottle on the right was made using coriander seeds. Just glue them on.
Το μπουκάλι δεξιά έγινε χρησιμοποιώντας κόλιανδρο.
And for Halloween, just turn the bottles backward and …Boo!
Και για τις Απόκριες, γυρίστε τα μπουκάλια προς τα πίσω και … Boo!

I get two looks for the price of one! Actually the possibilities are infinite since it’s a blackboard, I can erase and write whatever I want. Maybe I will even use them for Winter decorating. And it was done very frugally. What do you think of my little Fall vignette?
Παίρνω δύο για την τιμή του ενός! Στην πραγματικότητα, οι δυνατότητες είναι άπειρες αφού είναι ένας μαυροπίνακας, μπορώ να διαγράψω και να γράψω ότι θέλω. Ίσως θα τα χρησιμοποιήσω ακόμη και για τη χειμωνιάτικη διακόσμηση. Και έγινε πολύ οικονομικά. Τι γνώμη έχετε για την Φθινοπωρινή βινιέτα μου;

I’ll have to save my wine bottles & try something like this. Lovely idea for décor. Thanks for sharing at the Inspiration Spotlight party. Pinned & shared.
You see Theresa there is a purpose for everything if only we save it. Thanks for dropping on over.
I love that they are double-sided and that you painted the labels with chalk-paint. So creative. Thanks for sharing at The Creative Circle.
Kathy, chalkboard paint because you can write and erase to your hearts content. Thanks for stopping by.
What a clever idea, Mary! And I love the vignette with the chess board and pieces. It all looks great together.
Julie, those pieces were a last minute thing, I liked the way they looked with the black labels. Thanks for visiting.
These wine bottles are so cute and creative, I will have to try some of my own! And they will pair perfectly with my wine cork pumpkins!
Celest they will look perfect with your cork pumpkins (I just took a sneak peak at them). You can write with orange chalk on the labels to match your pumpkins.
Yes, that is a great idea!
I like your display very much. It looks very natural and it’s great for fall. I like the little coriander seeds, too! Thanks so much for linking up at Together on Tuesdays!
Thank you Lisa.
What a great idea! My hubby enjoys wine so we tend to have some bottles around once in a while. A lovely way to decorate them! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you Jules. All those bottles come in handy. I just need to finish my wine so I can use more of them.
How fun are these? Thanks so much for showing us how. Love them. Linda @Crafts a la mode
Linda I love to share my projects. I get so much inspiration from others out there it is only fair that I share back. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Wow! The bottles fit well with the Halloween atmosphere.
Thanks for adding it to #tiptuesday .
Thanks Debbie, and for Christmas I’ll be able to draw other things on it, so it is very versitile.
Great look! Thanks for joining Home Sweet Home!
Thanks for dropping by Sherry.
You can turn anything into a treasure now, can’t you? I love it! How fun that you can write whatever you want on the bottle label, any holiday, or make it an olive oil bottle, or…well, I’m sure you have more ideas than I do! You’re the creative one!
Nikki, we have other big, humongous bottles for the olive oil. Come to think of it, we also have big bottles for the wine. I guess we we are a nation of “large” personalities! lol. I am going to work on correcting that situation with the e-mail replies.Thanks.
What a clever idea – Thanks for linking up to Pin Worthy Wednesday, I have pinned your post to the Pin Worthy Wednesday Pinterest Board.
Thank you for stopping by and for pinning Amber Jane.
The coriander seeds are a brilliant idea. They add such a gorgeous texture to the bottle Mary, I love it. I really appreciate how you made one item serve for two seasons, that is always the best plan. Very pretty setting, Pinning.
Leanna I had made that coriander bottle years ago and it really stood up to time. It is full of texture but hard to handle.
I’m so glad that you found some fun bottles to bring fall in to your home! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Thanks you Jann, it was super easy.
That’s gorgeous Mary! Sharing on SM for ya.
Thanks Christine, it was a fun project.
What a fun idea to repurpose those bottles. Your vignette looks great, Mary. Thanks for sharing with us at Snickerdoodle. Pinning.
Thanks Beverly for visiting.
I wish I was as creative as you, I have no idea #sundaysbestlinky@_karendennis
What a great idea Mary! I love repurposing bottles, and this is a fun way to do it. Love the idea of the chalkboard, or just turning them around for different vignette, seasons or holidays.
One of the easiest projects I’ve ever done Linda.
So cute & scary!! Thanks for linking to #frifree4all 🙂
Thanks Hayley, and now that Halloween is over I’ll practice my turkey drawing skills and see if I can draw one one that skinny bottle.
This is such a cute idea! I’m going to make these!
Jill
Doused In Pink
Jill I am always happy when I inspire someone else. This really is a very simple idea and very practical too.
I always feel bad when I throw empty wine bottles into the recycle bin. It seems like I should be doing something crafty with them instead. Now, I know what I can use them for!!
Well now you can repurpose them. This was so easy to do and it can be used all the time.
Yet another reason to drink more wine!
Haha!! I couldn’t agree more with you Sandra!!
Mary,
I love your fall vignette. Congratulations, you are being featured on Over The Moon Linky Party.

Mary I love it! You are so creative – this is so unique and so cool! I need to drink more wine, so I can copy this 😉
Katrin, I like that idea … lots of wine!!
Boy…do I have wine bottles!!! I love this…what a brilliant idea!!!
Well Olivia now you’ll know what to do with them. I had to empty mine first in order to use them (such a hard job). Thanks for stopping by.
Great idea! So smart and simple! Very creative!
Yes, I find that the simpliest ideas are also the best. Thanks for visiting.
How creative! I love that you can change up what is drawn on them because it is a blackboard.
Shannon don’t we see this all the time. We take labels off jusst to put new ones on again. Why should that be. I have removed an arduous task by turning the old labels into new ones. Thanks for your comment and for visiting. I will hop on over to your blog as well.
Such a cool idea! I love that chalkboard paint is everywhere these days… clearly I need to jump on board. This will be perfect for when we start making our own wine at home, too! Pinning to save for later 🙂
Sagan Chalkboard paint is the best. You paint, prep and then you have a board exactly were you want it. And of course whatever you paint it reusable. A win/win! And it goes a long way. Thanks for dropping by.
Hi Mary, what great inspiration for the excess wine bottles I have been saving, all bottles as a mater of fact. They turned out nifty!!
Thanks for stopping by Friday Features, I have Pinned
Have a great weekend!
Karren, the reason I did this project was exactly because I had all those bottles sitting around and could bnot bring myself to throw them out. Thanks for dropping by.
Very cute idea Mary!
Marie, I know you were eyeing those bottles. Get well and then have a drink on me!! Thanks for your sweet comment.
This is so simple and yet so wonderful! What a great idea to only paint the label!
Love the Halloween vignette too!
It’s like a bulb went off in my head… why wash the labels off when I can use them as is.
This looks so cute! I love using wine bottles in decor 🙂
Alexis @ http://www.chemistrycachet.com
Alexis, sometimes you get a brainstorm and go with it. I find my best projects are not the ones I plan out but the ones that grab you in the moment. Thanks for stopping by.
Wow wow wow Mary, your bottles project is just amazing!! I love the coriander seeds stuck on it, they are all beautiful.
I so much love your creative ideas!

Thanks so much Anne, the seeds happened because I had a jar full sitting there for years and did not know what else to do with them.
Mary,
What a cute idea!! Love it!!

Hi Mary! 🙂
What a great idea and such a cute way to reuse wine bottles. I love that they are fall on one side and Halloween on the other!
And your vignette is so pretty…the black and the wood are so nice together.
Have a wonderful Sunday! 🙂
Thanks Kimberly. Actually I can use them year round. y daughter has a box full of colored chalk so I’ll be able to draw all sorts of goodies on them. And yes, the black and wood are a favorite combination of mine. Thanks you for dropping by and you too have a great Sunday.

Sherry that’s a great idea, I’ll have to be on the lookout for some small ones. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Great idea, very unique. Love the finished result and the fact you can erase and redo them if you fancy a change 🙂 #weekendblogshare
Debbie
That is exactly the idea. So I can use them at any season. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Mary -this is such a cute idea! I already have chalkboard paint, and it won’t be much trouble to finish a wine bottle – so I won’t even have to buy anything to make this! I love the coriander seeds used as decoration.
By the way, I nominated you today for a blogger award. Just a little honor passed along to you – to let you know how much I enjoy your blog and blogging friendship! No need to participate unless you want to. Have a wonderful weekend.
Aww Susan, you put a smile on my rainy day today. Thank you so much, for the nice comment about my bottle and more imortantly for the nomination. Thank you.
oh like this idea. I actually have chalk paint in the garage. Maybe I’ll make a start this weekend. #weekendblogshare
Hi Karen. Yes, it is an easy project. I did it in 1 hour, just the time it took for the paint to dry. You have a very thought provoking blog. Thank you for making us aware of things we sometimes forget. And thanks for dropping by.
