Πριν ένα χρόνο, ο σύζυγός με ξύπνησε στις 5 το πρωί και πήγαμε βόλτα με τη βάρκα για να δούμε την ανατολή του ηλίου. Αυτό ήταν μαγεία το πρωί. Ξύπνησα κοιτάζοντας τον ήλιο. Και είπαμε να βγούμε στον κόλπο σε μια πιο ανθρώπινη ώρα 19:00 και να δούμε τον ήλιο να κατεβαίνει. Υπήρξαν κάποιες απρόσμενες εκπλήξεις σε αυτό το ταξίδι. Ελάτε μαζί μας να πάμε μια βόλτα με βάρκα στο ηλιοβασίλεμα.
Καθώς αποχωρούμε από την μαρίνα μπορείτε να δείτε το φάρο και τα κατάρτια των ιστιοφόρων.
Είναι 7:30 το απόγευμα, αλλά ο ήλιος δεν έχει πέσει.
Αχ έχουμε παρέα, ένα ζευγάρι δελφίνια που κολυμπούν κοντά στο βάρκα μας.
Και ο ήλιος ακόμα πέφτει.
Οκτώ-μισή και ο ήλιος βουλιάζει.
Απολαμβάνω το φως που υποχωρεί και λάμπει στην πόλη και τα βραχώδη βουνά πίσω.
Οκτώ και πενήντα και ο ήλιος πήγε για ύπνο. Αλλά η παράσταση δεν έχει τελειώσει.
Και η τελευταία μου έκπληξη. Ενώ ήμουν απασχολημένη φωτογραφίζοντας, ο σύζυγός μου έβγαλε το καλάμι του και έπιασε αυτό! Το ιδανικό τέλος για τη βράδια.
Περάσαμε καταπληκτικά. Υπήρχε ένα ελαφρύ αεράκι και το φως ήταν θεαματικό. Έχω, επίσης, φωτογραφήσει το ηλιοβασίλεμα σε άλλες περιόδους του έτους εδώ, και από τα βουνά εδώ, αλλά παίρνει μια άλλη διάσταση, όταν είμαστε στο κόλπο. Ελπίζω να σας άρεσε η βόλτα με βάρκα στο ηλιοβασίλεμα. Πού ήταν το πιο θεαματικό ηλιοβασίλεμα που έχετε δει ποτέ;

I think the sunsets in Hawaii are the most spectacular I have ever seen. I love the way the sky stays such beautiful colours there even after the sun has set. Your photographs are wonderful, Mary. Oh by far the most amazing sunsets we've ever seen are those from the deck of our beloved Stone House on the Hill in the Peloponnese of Greece. I've not yet had an opportunity to be out on the water and watch from there - these were magnificent photos, Mary!
