A DIY Photo Display for Father’s Day

Looking for a thoughtful gift idea for Father’s Day? This creative wall photo display, made with upcycled BBQ grills is perfect for his vintage photos!

Father’s Day is next month!  To help you get ready, I’ve  come up with a fun DIY suggestions for dad’s day! As fathers get older they acquire a lot of “stuff”.  I don’t think they need more ties or beer mugs.  My suggestion is for a more personalized  gift and it involves wrapping it up (my favorite craft). A thoughtful DIY photo display for Father’s Day!

You may remember that I had found an old barbecue grill in my basement a while back.  I used parts of it to make a planter.

Well I had plenty more parts left over.  This time around I used the round metal rack parts. There were two of them which I spray painted black.

Then my alter ego, “The Twine Lady” took over and wrapped each grill.

And then joined them together.

The mini clothespins give it a rustic touch that compliments the twine while making it super easy to change out the photographs.

Dad can hang this beauty of a photo display on his wall and just stare at our lovely mugs all day long!  Or if he’s mad at one of us, he can take the photo down. So much easier than frames!

Well, that is how I am wrapping it up for Father’s Day! As you can see it is an easy DIY with loads of charm and character because the Twine Lady made it.  And it has your mugs to boot!  What else could dad possibly ask for?

  1. What a great idea. I have some extra pictures that I was going to take to a family reunion in about a month and share with anyone that wants them. I think that this is a great way to display them and let relatives take the ones that they want. What a timely post for me. Thank you for sharing at Talk of the Town link party.
