Aside from these gestures, there are so many easy, last minute gifts that you can make yourselves if you have a few basic things at home. Today I’m going to show you some last minute DIY Mother’s Day gifts.
Και για σας με απλές ικανότητες ραψίματος, τι λέτε για αυτήν την ιδιαίτερη τσάντα από το Sum of Their Stories.
Got an old basket? No problem, nothing a little paint job from My Sweet Things couldn’t fix! Now it’s ready for tea time!
Μια ευλογημένη και ευτυχισμένη ημέρα της Μητέρας σε όλες τις μητέρες και γιαγιάδες! Τι θα θέλατε για την ειδική σας ημέρα;

Magdalena thank you for visiting. Of course I will visit your blog too. It is always nice to meet new bloggers.
These are all great ideas. I love the tray with the child’s art. So sweet and a treasure.
Thanks for sharing at Monday Social.
Thanks Katie, anything homemade makes me happy as a gift.
Hi Mary, I can’t believe I didn’t stop by last year and leave a comment to say thanks for including my embroidered bag project. Sorry about that.
This is a great collection of ideas, I agree, home made gifts are the best. My kids usually make a cake which is lovely and most years I get breakfast in bed. (though we have our mothers day in March so I’ve already had mine! )
Julie I thank you for allowing me to show your lovely bag on my blog. I know we are all super busy and running around all day and being a blogger is no walk in the park.
Happy Belated Mother’s Day, I’m sure you enjoyed the cake.
Great round up Mary! I really like the coasters and the magnets 🙂
Sam I too like practical gifts that can be used around the house.
I love the tray with your son’s painting! Too precious! All great heartfelt ideas. Thanks for linking up at Welcome Home Wednesdays! See you tomorrow!
Thank you Erin for your sweet comment. That is a very special tray.
I love the old basket! My mom has a hard time carrying things so she would totally love this! Great ideas.
The basket looks so refined once Pili had painted it. And you can always use another basket.
Hi Mary, I think we are the only family that doesn’t acknowledge Mothers Day, it’s just not a big thing to me (although me and my sister always treated my Mum when we were growing up).
However saying that I love those magnets, very pretty and the ones on our fridge are looking dated now. I also wouldn’t turn my nose up at the picture frame… Although I’d probably prefer a picture of the dog in it!
xx
The magnets are lovely aren’t they. I have some very talented friends. Some of these are really easy and can be given as gifts at any time of the year. I have to agree about the dog pic. My sweet dog has a special place in my heart.
Mary, this is such a great Roundup of Mother’s Day gifts. I like simple gifts, but ones that have some thought in them. And these are all perfect. I’m not sure which one I like best there are so many that I would love.
Thank you Nikki. We certainly can’t expect anyone to make something difficult at the last minute. I hope you had a great Mother’s Day!
Cute ideas for Mother’s Day! I agree with the breakfast in bed . . . maybe the laundry done and the house cleaned?
Now that would be wishful thinking in my house Laurie! But we can always hope!
This is a very beautiful and useful compilation Mary!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Maya. I hope your Mothers day was enjoyable.
Yes – Mother’s Day IS the most important day of the year! Ha! Thanks for linking up to Best of the Weekend. You were one of my features this week. Have a great weekend and enjoy your Mother’s Day!
Shelley
Thank you so much Shelley!
Lovely ideas and diys, Mary! So glad you shared at Homestyle Gathering, sweet friend!
Thanks Julie, looking forward to visiting each week.
These are some really great ideas! I try to get my boys to make me breakfast or clean the house for me; I think that is the best idea for a Mother’s Day gift!
I have to agree with you there, we need all the pampering we can get!
Love these ideas, Mary! I really like the repurposed tiles and the sweet burlap wrapped cups. <3
Happy Mother's Day coming soon to you,
Hugs,
Barb 🙂

Nice ideas you all came up with.
You guys are so clever!! Pinned.
So many good ideas… I really liked the magnetic tile idea and can see lots of possibilities there… even for homeschool.
That is so true. A lot of these can be given to more than just mom.
What a fun round up–full of great gift ideas! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm! Blessings, Cecilia
Thanks Cecilia, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Love these, Mary! You can never go wrong with photo frames. What mother has enough frames? I also really like the jewelry chest. That is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this sweet roundup with #UpsyDaisyLinkup!
Thank you Regina! I could definitely use more picture frames! Have a great weekend.
Mary, these are such sweet ideas. I really love the leftover ceramic tile for magnets.
Liz, Keri is so insanely talented, she takes true junk and turns it into gems.
Fantastic ideas and my favorite is the tray you added your sons’ painting!
Very personal and a great handmade gift. 🙂
Aww thank you so much. The tray was indeed special. It’s a way for the siblings to stay connected.
So many great ideas, Mary. Happy Wednesday.
Amalia
Thank you Amelia for your comment. I am glad I can inspire by my post.
Thank you so much for including my jewelry box in your wonderful Mother’s Day gift ideas, Mary. So many pretty ideas in here. Would you believe I had no idea it was Mother’s Day this weekend☺️
Aww Marie, I am honored to have you in my round up. I wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day even if you don’t rememeber!
I think I love EVERY single one of those ideas. There are a few that I am eager to try.
Krista that makes me so happy. I hope you can upload your projects on the blog. Have a happy mother’s day!
Mary, what a wonderful round up of Mother’s Day Gifts ideas!! Thanks so much for including my projects in the list!! 🙂
Keri I am honored to have you in my round up! Your projects are so original and creative.
Lovely Ideas Mary…And I share your goal of making gifts for mom. When I made my bird feeder several weeks ago, I also made one for mom. Since then she’s also hinted at an alarm clock, so looks like she’ll get both this year…plus I found some lovely fabric napkins for her kitchen.
You compiled a great list.
Happy Mother’s Day Mary…
Hugs, Lynn
Lynn your bird feeder is the perfect gift for Mom. So you know exactly what I’m talking about. It sounds like the napkins and alarm clock will round out your mother’s gifts. Happy Mother’s Day to you my dear friend!
You have gathered up some lovely ideas for a special Mother’s Day. I hope your day is filled with love, laughter and togetherness.
Thank you so much Debra. I hope to inspire others with this post and maybe someone will make something instead of spending money.
I love the idea behind painting bottles into vases and covering vases with fabric, they seem like a great way to re-purpose simple items and turn them into gifts! Although I love the D.I.Y. ideas, I also agree with you, Mother’s Day should also be about doing great things for Mom–cooking her breakfast in bed, completing chores without being asked, etc.
Brooke I am really big on repurposing things I love to do good by our planet earth and would never encourage anyone to shop for me unless it was clothing or something I couldn’t make. .
Happy mother’s day for tomorrow! So many beautiful ideas! I just finished my gift and you’ll see it tomorrow on the blog! (hint: it involves breakfast haha)
Thank you for your warm wishes Katerina! Any gift we can give that comes from the heart is the best gift. My girls made a cake for me and also cooked lunch. So it was a relaxing day for me.
Great ideas Mary! Visiting from 5 Star Frou Frou today 🙂
Thank you so much Jess. I hope they have inspired.
What a beautiful roundup of Mother’s Day gifts Mary, thank you. They’re all so pretty. Hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day surrounded by all that you love.
Thank you so much Michelle. I hope you also have a great weekend full of inspiration.
Lots of fun ideas here. Thanks for sharing on #FridayFrivolity. I hope you will party with us again.
Thank you Audrey, I will definitely swing by.
My favorite is the flowers in the bottles- one of my all time favorite looks ever! So simple, so pretty! Happy Mother’s Day Mary!
Michele, I love simple and sometimes it can have more of an impact that fancy and complicated. Have a happy Mother’s Day.
Wonderful projects! I especially love the tile magnets! Something I could do (I think)!
And breakfast in bed is always a fabulous idea! 🙂

Andrea’s Wellness Notes
Andrea you should try your hand at them. I chose them all so they could be done in a short time and they are not too challenging otherwise I couldn’t do them either. Have a happy Mother’s Day.
Great Mother’s Day gift ideas, Mary! I really love those painted utensils! They’re so colorful and fun!
Thank you Celeste. The utensils are really cute and Katrin makes the prettiest things, I hope you check out more of her work. .
Mary, Thank you so much for including my ideas in this great round up! You chose perfect last minute DIY gift ideas anyone can still make in time! I know I’d love to get each one of them and as much as I love getting flowers, I always prefer something “made with love” over store bought for sure!
Thank you Katrin for letting me share your beautiful creations for this Mother’s day roundup. I wish you a wonderful and Happy Mother’s Day!
