The Paranoid Man Pumpkin Craft

Sharing is caring!

Here we are halfway into fall and I have not shown you any pumpkin crafts.  Well what kind of fall lover would I be, if I haven’t done a pumpkin craft?

So here it is.  My pumpkin.  My pride and joy, although it does  have a few dents.

And you say “so what, we’ve seen already seen this in your DIY easy Fall eucalyptus vignette”.

Yes, you have.  But you haven’t seen my paranoid man pumpkin craft.

But let’s start at the beginning. I have had this bowl sitting in my… no, not the basement.  This time it’s the kitchen cabinet. The only problem was that it had a burn in one spot and all the liquids seeped out. So it was pretty useless.

Of course, I kept it around with the intent of repurposing it.

I took a book that I had read years ago and mod podged the bowl with the pages.  And in case you’re wondering the book is called “A Man.”

This is a ribbon spool.  I placed that inside the bowl…

…and placed my pumpkin inside the bowl, added a fedora and called it a day!

Oh, and let’s not forget his eyes!

The poor pumpkin man looked to his right and there were more pumpkins….

And to his left was another pumpkin… too much competition!

And that evil faced bottle. We’ve seen that before too!  Why it’s positively glowering at the pumpkin man.

Pumpkins made with old scarves and stuffed with toilet paper and tissue paper … everyone knows that old trick!

The pumpkin man was not at all happy about this situation.  He wanted to be the center of attention!

Would a change of attire help to distinguish him?

Or would he still be outshined by those sassy pumpkins next to him?

I guess our paranoid pumpkin man is destined to be squished among the rubble pumpkins.

And so we leave him miserable and all squished, till we can find the paranoid pumpkin man craft another hat that will outshine them all!  Which hat do you prefer on the paranoid man pumpkin?

Hello Mary, that's a real funny story! Turth be told: I never was any good in carving out pumkins - so why did I never come up with the idea of drawing a face onto the pumpkin instead of fighting with it for hours on end!??? Argh, well... Eventually there will be grandchildren... Have a lovely day, Marjan

I used to carve pumpkins but they rot so quickly that I wanted an alternative. It's now the 24th of October and Paranoid man is still going strong.

Mary, I love it! I reckon this could become a series. The adventures of Mr Pumpkin man, a tale for every season. We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia very much (if that is why a pumpkin is being featured) but I love a great story. Your post really put a smile on my face! Thank you.

Julie as long as Pumpkin man has not rotted, because he is a real pumpkin, I will find a way to weave him into my posts at least until Halloween. Thank you for your sweet comment.

Lol Mary, poor paranoid pumpkin man. I think he looks gorgeous in the black mafia hat and he has no reason to feel left out. Give him a little kiss on his cheek for me please ;-)

He is a mafia lord, no? I will give him a kiss if he wipes that sour look off his face.
