I know there are a lot of retired gentlemen out there who like to go to their back yard and do a little bit of puttering around. But they need to have the right garden tool set!
And lest we forget that our dad’s may not want to kneel in the dirt, this is a great idea to help those older knees.
For the Fisherman:
My dad was a fisherman for many years and when he was not in his boat he was out on the beach throwing that line into the water. But he certainly didn’t need to be uncomfortable while waiting for the fish to bite.
This lure kit will certainly help to bring the fish in.
I know that dads can easily spend a whole day fishing, especially when there are fish to be caught. So let’s give him a cup of fresh coffee.
For the Woodworker:
Having a knowledge of the basics is so important for the beginner.
This kit is perfect for helping them to create all sorts of wood crafts.
Dad will need to be safe in order to create!
Safety Goggles are a must!
For the Automobile Enthusiast:
A First Aid Kit will definitely come in handy, especially if the car is full of grandkids!
Car Seat Protectors are a necessity for any grandfather who values his car interior! Plus they have lots of storage in the back.
For the Game Player:
Chess Set because grandpa deserves the best!
Bowling Ball Bag so he won’t have to lug those heavy balls.
The Essentials:
I could use one of these Key Finders too!
Ear and Nose Hair is gone with this smart device.
An easy way to control all of his devices, so grandpa can relax in his recliner!
And we want grandfather to let us know who’s the boss with this fun t-shirt which comes in lots of colors!
These are my 17 practical Father’s Day gifts for the retired dad so that we can take care of our senior citizen fathers for this coming Father’s Day. And they can all be ordered last minute in order to arrive for that special day.

Great gift ideas, Mary. I know how hard it is to buy for older people who have everything or say they don’t need anything, but these are practical and fun! I hope your dad enjoys his day!
